First of all there is more than just 1 GIC in the UK, here is the basic information and area for all the gender clinics, i strongly suggest Requesting to go to a GIC that is closest to you (Ask otherwise you will be automatically be sent to Charing Cross (London)

In the UK there are a handful of ways to Legally change your name.
The 2 following ways are the easiest and the Cheapest methods... Both hold their merits but also hold there down falls.

It is free, however there tends to be allot of haste with obtaining legal documents (ID's, Passports & Driving licence)

I was recently given a copy of this PDF from a friend who said that i might qualify for the "bridging" due to depression issues. (Page 16)
