Ha! The men are here for jerk off material, most aren't even paying members, and many are duplicate profiles so people can give the impression someone is supporting their point of view. Regarding the video clips, I can't help but feel that the women in the videos have no business being upset. They're young, beautiful, apparently intelligent (from the little I can see) and strong. Make better choices about men and you should be fine. For example, the girl in post #5 ("my man"): I bet she's found her man and is just reporting on it.

Regarding the original post, it seems to me the solution to the problem of falling in love with a dude who is in the closet is: don't do that ! Instead, fall in love with someone who is open and willing to treat you with respect. I'll admit, though, that it might be easier said than done ...

You might be surprised how easy it is to fall in love with the wrong person. Once I am actually 'In Love' I tend to be in a full throttle, go hard or don't get involved kind of way. I don't do bs high school relationships were you are just together just to have something to do or someone by your side.

Its always funny how these intelligent above it all type women constantly derail men, and more specifically black men yet, they themselves take no responsibility for choosing to (sometimes over and over again) date these 'bad men'.

I actually don't 'hate'. I do however; despise a plenty lol Not all men, just men in general. I do have some male friends after all. Hooray, I actually just was invited by one of my ' straight male friends' to his wedding. Love is in the air, as this is the 2nd wedding I know of concerning friends of mine. I have no idea what I'm going to wear though, I don't do formal.

Titling the video "I don't need a man" was a synopsis of the video, what the
poet was conveying, not necessarily my personal view-point.

Having said that, I am a very independent person, one that takes very good
care of herself and her needs.

Too often trans and even natal women will measure their worth by how many
men they can pull. Indeed, often-times their very livelihoods are tied to the
whims of these men, and they are at their beck and call, under their thumb as
it were.

But this is far from this being a man bashing thread for me, it was just some

Back in the day, when I would peruse my Brother's Playboy / Players, I would
actually read the articles. I enjoyed the writing by literary greats such as
Norman Mailer, James Baldwin, Nat Hentoff, et al.

It wasn't really the wank and spank material that drew me in.

It is the same here, I don't come to look at the women, but rather to dialogue
