The response is neither ignorant nor should it be surprising. I made my response starting by saying I personally know and am cool with an older ts; I don't just need a ts to strut and "swish" (whatever that means). I also said, for most, according to what I've seen and heard from other ts, those are unfortunately, the 3 most likely paths. Death, as you know Seanchai, is a very unfortunate but possible end-game for any ts that escorts (not for those that don't). My post wasn't meant to be insensitive, although I can see how some who don't know the bulk of my posts could take it that way. If it offended any transsexuals who post here, I'm sorry.

Honest and open is fine, if it wasn't I would have closed most of the posts and this forum a while ago but your STATEMENT "but for most, I've heard its either" is entirely in-correct and sensationalized. Yes of course some die (but so do too many younger trans), and what is so bad about them getting SRS that you combine it with two other negative points?

Same thing that happens to everyone else as they get older, life goes on, or it doesn't.

A lot of older girls I know still post ads, but generally have regular jobs and use escorting as a supplement instead of main source of income. Some still do the occasional shows for pageants and such.

One girl I know, who is in her mid 40's once commented to me, that she would always be able to compete with the younger escorts. Her reasoning is that her 'sil' has frozen her face in time, preventing wrinkles and age from appearing. Sounds a bit anecdotal to me, but does seem to make some sense.

Just because "... an older tgirl..." says something does not make it a fact.

I use to hear a lot of bullshit and urban myths which came from the older trans when I first began transition. Sometimes I wonder if it's just ignorance or if they are bitter.

For instance, they like to promote a popular urban myth that 'ejaculating' wastes your hormones. Another is that, silicone the pump doctors use is medical grade procured from the finest surgeons in Mexico. My own 'Gay Mother' who was also an older trans woman, told me repeatedly that the only way to successfully transition was to 'get out there on the stroll and trick', and I've been fighting that perception ever since she uttered those words. Moral of story, don't believe everything you hear.
