    Blurring pics to cartoon level

    Dear paying members,

I have been called out by Grooby for posting my dissatisfaction ith the photo processing idiots being used on this site. I was told to post here, where probably nobody will se it.

At any rate, my experience today took the cake and I decided to give it a go here.

have a look guys at the Alana Lopez set of 8 April. Choose any pic and zoom in on her face. There is no detail whatsoever. It looks like it's been painted on. That is doing not only a disservice to the loyal fans that are paying for this heavy handed mess, but also to the girls. I couldn't go on looking at those pics. I also have no idea what she actually looks like. It is insane.

The Kass Phoenix set of 6 April is enough to make you sigh out loud. She is awesome, an amazing girl, but shopped to hell and back. Look at any shot of her from behind. Where her asshole is supposed to be one sees either a dark blurry furrow, or in some pics a pink sumpin that looks like there is no opening there. Her cock, even in the large zoomed in shot has no detail whatsoever. Even those silicone cocks you see in the sex shops have more detail.

I found a neat little program that is called 'Photo to Cartoon'. I wish I could find the antidote 'Cartoon to Photo' so I could use it to enjoy the Shemaleyum pics being butchered by the bulk processing dudes.

There is no sense in this that I can see. Other websites are not this heavy handed.

Anyone wanna chime in? If the consensus is that cartoons are better than people, I will have to adapt I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for offering an opinion.

    Cheers

Hi Jillette, thanks for your feedback. My name is Dave and I do the image editing / retouching for many of the Grooby sites including Shemale Yum, Black T-Girls, Shemale.XXX and something like 7 or 8 others. I have been processing images for the majority of these sites for going on seven and a half years now, and I'll be honest with you, I've done pretty much the same thing for the entire time, which is - brighten the pictures up via adjusting contrast where needed, colour correction / white balance, and maybe some vibrance to give them a bit more of a "spark" which I am sure makes the images look better. If the skin is looking especially bad I may push the noise reduction a little further than usual, but nothing that will give that ultra-shopped look.

On top of that I do *some* retouching - to get rid of scars, and maybe tidy up some problematic areas. What I am not doing is running some kind of "cartoon filter" or whatever you think is going on.

I'm going to include some before and after samples of the models you've mentioned so you can see exactly what the images were like before I did anything to them at all. I think that, regarding Alana Lopez's skin detail especially, it looks to me like she's using make-up (foundation, something like that) which does give her skin somewhat of a smooth look. Anyway, I'll let you be the judge, and if you have any more issues please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll look into it for you.

We do pride ourselves here at Grooby on going through each image by hand and trying to get them looking the best they can whilst maintaining as much of a "natural" look as possible, so I certainly wouldn't want any of our customers to be disappointed. Thanks for your time.

Thanks Dave - you can now move on Jillette - you've had this explained to you before.

    Mr GroobySteven,
Your flip responses to serious questions, (not just mine but others as well, see the misleading storyline response), from paying, let me repeat, paying customers, is bothersome, and frankly unacceptable. It's disrespectful to boot. Get a grip dude and buck up, geez.

    Dave,
I can see that the processing is creating some of the saturation issues I was speaking about. The fact that the blurriness seems to come from the original to a large extent seems to reinforce my comment that camera settings are involved as well. The 'skin softening' 'adjustments only can go so far. When overdone, boom, you get a cartoon. But I thank you for taking the time to explain.

Now Mr GroobySteven, YOU have had it pointed out again, and YOU may move on.

So you've been entirely in-correct by calling out the 'processing idiots' which is pretty fucking rude - and we've shown you that the photos come in un-retouched, like that - and now you're stating it's the camera? There are no 'skin softening' adjustments made on the camera - and you've seen the before/after photos.
Lighting, the cameras used and the style of the model and the photographers can create different effects - certainly different photographers equipment can make a difference between softer and harder looks - but we're not over-retouching the photos, as you claim.

I have respect for our paying customers when they show the same respect to our staff.

You asked the question (repeatedly on the sites) - our photo editor has taken the time to answer and to show you the raw photos, and you still make incorrect claims.
Shemale Yum especially has been a website which relies on different styles of different photographers, and a wide range of models - to present the widest spectrum of tgirl porn that we can. If it's just one photographers content, then pass over on his stuff (which is why we use different photographers) - if it's all the photographers that offend you, then there isn't much I can do about it.
