Can anybody - especially the grooby guys - shed any light on why a porn site would not allow a subscriber to download their product?...

There's a new SMC site called tgirlpinups which is ultra ultra ultra ultra ultra ultra femme and glam (pretty much my heaven lol), BUT the silly fuks dont allow downloads... They want guys to PAY to subscribe but then you can only stream the vids????

For fuks sake????

Am I missing something here???.. Why would they do this??? Is this kinda shit the future???

Much as I L-O-V-E the look of the site, I sincerely hope it doesn't take off, cos it stinks that a guy cant own his porn!

It failed. Pin Up content is appearing on tubes and illegal download sites. The site has the worst traffic compared to all of the other SMC sites.

As much as I like the concept of the site, and everything I've seen thus far is top notch, I wonder how long it can keep up with that specific of a niche. I actually wrote a script some time ago, that would be perfect for that setup though.

I really despise that kind of business model, it's like fucking iTunes, with renting the content instead of actually owning it like you would if you purchased DVD but you are generally still paying the same price. At least make it half the price if you intend to only allow streaming. The content is still going to be recorded anyway, there are tons of screen capture types of software specifically to get around streaming only options. The quality may drop some but more than good enough to enjoy show at your own leisure so why do it at all. Well, because they are counting on viewers to not be tech savvy and care about owning what they pay for. I do agree, there does need to be help with the piracy issues.

Stream only causes problems. Not everyone can afford high speed internet. This is awful for those people. Secondly most porn viewers want to download content. Brazzers and Naughty America are at the top of straight porn for many reasons including downloading content.

Is it worth $35 bucks to watch a movie and then have to pay another $35 to view the same movie again? It's paying for the same movie over and over again.

I think the stream only would work IF it had a loyalty program for loyal members to be allowed to download content.

Guys join porn sites to obtain and COLLECT wanking material (This is a peculiarly MALE/nerd behaviour, desiring to collect things, and it's as true with porn as it is with postage stamps or beer-mats!)..... The beauty of owning porn is that it allows a guy to enjoy a spontaneous wank at any time… This is the case regardless of the media the porn is stored on.... whether a guy has spent his $$$s on magazines, cine film, Betamax tapes, vhs tapes, dvds or downloads…

The media is practically irrelevant; what counts is that a guy, having PURCHASED/SUBSCRIBED to some porn, has the ability to enjoy it whenever he chooses… And in the case of tgirlpinups, SMC has taken an enormously cynical and negative step by ensuring this is not possible…. To enjoy a wank to this site I would have to be a “current subscriber” AT ALL TIMES… FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE (assuming we didn't use the piracy option)

I can easily appreciate the top TOP quality of the site in question, but if they - or any other porn suppliers - seriously think even a serious addict like myself is gonna fall for this uber capitalistic self-slavery they are fukkin deluding themselves LOL!.... Not allowing the avid fans of porn to download your product is a poor and stupid choice….
