If it was linking to another site. Especially one which we've tried to work with partners/affiliate sales in the past and it didn't work out.
We work very hard on bring traffic to this site in an attempt to make sales to the site and generate content. Providing free advertising to another site or company, is detrimental to that.

These rules have been on the forum, since the forum started nearly 10 yrs ago.
Thanks

That I understand. I did not have a link to her site, I was just commenting on her content. I have seen other guys do the same here. The video was definitly forum worthy based on my years here. I never post links to other sites, that I know! Was just discussing content that is relative to the interests of the people on this forum, and website.

Although it was an url link it could still send traffic there. I'm trying to work it out with her so we can promote it again. I sometimes let things slide if it's a comment here and there but this was more like a full post. I've also had someone spam her site all over the comments pages.

Thanks for understanding.

I definitly understand. My confusion is with the link comment. The only time I mentioned her "other" name was in the thread title, with no "dot" or "http" anything. I did not refer to her site name in the post on purpose. I have been here for more than a minute! So, how can I not do again something that don't know I did in the first place. As moderator i'm not sure if you can review deleted posts or not, If you can you really need to look at mine again. There where no links, urls or anything that would send traffic, besides my opinion of the video the post was about. The funny thing is the video was a preview and thats all I said people should see. I respect the rules, I just would like to be deleted for something I actually did! I know I wasn't smoking that night, so my recollection is clear.

There were 3-4 other replies which referred to the site directly.
Hopefully we can work something out with them and get some links up but a general rule of thumb - free sites are ok, sites already linked or mentioned on this site are ok, escort style sites fine ... other pay sites no, not even their name.
Thanks

Ok, now I get it. I never got to see any replies. Could it be possible in the future to just delete the offending post (replies) instead of killing the whole topic? Could have been inspiration for progress here!

Your original post invited the other posts, I'd prefer it if you could just not infer to other sites, it's the same as posting the link.
Thanks
