Alright, I have a few things to say about this. One, I'm not that excited from the trailer. It looks a little cliche. Unless they are going to take a more "Wire"-like look at hood streets, then most of this has been done before on the silver screen. Second, I wonder how many real transgirls got roles in this? I doubt many. I know you have to go with an accomplished actress like (fine ass) Kerry Washington for the "main" role but how many real transgirls (not TVs or fakes) are in this? Lastly, did you hear the comment from, I guess, the casting director who said, "I told her you're too beautiful for this role." Damn joe! That's bogus too say there aren't tgirls out there as fine or nearly as fine as Kerry; we've got some on BTG or blasted in this forum. So, I'm reserving judgement on this one until I find out more.

I think that was just the director stroking her ego. It's not like he could say "Well, I picked her cause she looks like a transsexual" This guy has to keep eating, It's all Hollywood game. The movie does look re-hashed tho. We shall see.

I have it on a laptop, haven't watched it in its entirety. What I have seen is
ok, but not ground breaking.

Will get back with my Siskel and Ebert review.:)

So I did see it last night, on Starz.

I would say that it was formulaic, and the plot predictable.

Though I really did enjoy that the main theme of the movie centered around
Kerry Washington as a transwoman, they didn't quite cover all the nuances
of the things that a woman transitioning would go through. Additionally she
and "Ridley / Gabrielle" were the only transwomen who were really featured
in the movie.

As to the rest of the movie, it came across as a low budget Master P
production, something made for BET. Looked like they called Central
Casting, put everyone in dirty clothes, and tried to rely on "suspension of
disbelief" to sell the characters to the audience.

And since drug use and abuse was such a prominent feature of the movie,
someone should have told the actors how to feign being high.

Glad I saw it, would recommend it, but also glad I didn't fork over $10 at a
theatre, or have to pay to rent it.

I thought it was a good movie. I would buy it on DVD. Its about drugs and the lengths people go through to have them. The decisions peoples make and negative effects that come with it.

They should have cast my future wife, Natalia Coxx in the role instead of Washington. I know Natalia can act by seeing those ferocious, snarling fuck-faces she makes when she nails that bald sissy!

BTW, It's good she's getting all that buggery out of her system on that prag's candy ass (and the limp-dicked fairy with the Superman tatoo on his shoulder) because once we're married, she'll only be on the receiving end in our palace, like the Princess that she is! :)

You might want to read the forum rules in regards about comments on models/performers.

I thought Seanchai had a sticky with forum rules maybe he removed it. You are disrespecting the models that have performed with Nat...like John Magnum ( superman tattoo).

JOHN MAGNUM!! THAT'S JOHN MAGNUM????

Good Gosh, I'm so embarrassed! I can't believe I besmearched the name of John Magnum, what a misunderstanding. My favorite condoms in the whole world are named after HIM! This guy is a visionary, a man of action, a man of fame, a man of la mancha!
I just hope he didn't read my blithering post.
I'm going to go hide out in the Bronx in case he did!
