I've used the Rosetta Stone for Mandarin, and found it to be a very good piece of software. I actually had like 20 different languages on my old XP rig, but since updating to Windows 7 I can no longer get it to run as my version was an older version. I might go and pick up a new version myself soon.

I am also in Brazil. I l am American and lived on most of east coast and the states so I know a little . Now I live in the South of Brazil and I must say that if you are looking for a beautiful girls who are simple and and uncomplicated and uninterested in taking all your money, this is where to come. Most of the girls go work up North to make porn or photos because SP and Rio is where the work is but then they com back to the south where they live . SP and Rio are also "Gringo" traps so they have a different mentality there and are after your American or European currency. The south has a mix of German, Italian and indigenous so it's crazy sometimes how good they look and they are approachable at the clubs and its not always about the money. A lot of them just want a boyfriend because the female to male ratio here is crazy and our favor and so TS girls are at a disadvantage most times. If anyone comes here .....please let me know and I would be happy to guide you .

Rio and São Paulo are going to be the most crowded because they are the two most major cities here and Rio will have the finals but also the most expensive.....the north east is cool, like Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza, beautiful beaches, women, food and a more laid back culture. I live in Porto Alegre and here we have the most beautiful women, we don't go after Gringo dollars like the other places I mentioned(Brazilians can spot a gringo) but the climate is reversed so June here is Winter and it can get a little cold in the South( 40's). No beach and it is not the Brazil you know. Personally in my opinion is the best place thought because everywhere else is going to be very, very , very expensive . Anyway hope this helps
