I have been interested in knowing what career fields are more attrractive to TG's, other than ones that involve regular nudity, money exchanges for services/companionship and/or clandestine meetings. Now seriously, yeah I thought about this for selfish reasons... But if you really want to meet and date a 'stable' TG woman isn't that the best place to look?

PS: Dont crucify me for the 'stable' characterization, everybody here knows what I mean.

Recently on another forum a woman asked what were the best occupations for a transwoman.

A number of people stated hair dressing, cosmetology, fashion, retail, etc..

My response was that she should work in whatever field she was interested in, and qualified for.

I'm going to go with the Army slogan, and say "Be all you can be".

That was a great article. If transgenderism can be accepted in the testosterone filled environment of investment management then there's hope for every TG everywhere.

I agree with peggy in that if you have talent, use it
The top areas i know from eavesdropping are cosmetology, hairdressing, and nursing (both in home and in hospitals).
A growing field ive heard is psychology. The online classrooms are becoming popular.

Transgendered ladies have no limits to who they want to become!

The challenges that a Transgendered woman faces are many and dificult, but the challenge of education is the same for all.

I had stated in the BTG success thread (http://blacktgirls.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3073&page=2)that I didn't want to blow up anybody's spot by naming names

I will say that I know transwomen either personally or via the web that are employed in management, teaching (elementary through the University level), civil service (city, State, Federal), IT, the arts and the sciences, travel industry including stewardesses, banking, the medical field, law enforcement, yeah that's right the po-po (http://www.tcops-international.org/), and just about any other occupation you can think of.

And I'm not just referring to white, middle-aged transitioners, but women of color of various ages.

They are among us.
