It does leave one to wonder, because I assume hair is at the top of the list! It seems as though all of the black t-girls have a least one wig in their wardrobe that consists of the bangs and straight hair cascading over their shoulders; doesn't matter what color, either, but black will get you the pink teddy bear. Or, if they happen to opt for extensions, they must be long and not the cheap kind (real Indian hair); they must be the extensions where it takes at least two Senegalese chicks fours hours to do (I've questioned it and seen it)!
I can’t really speak on the light skinned thing because all of the girls come in a variety of shades, but I believe if they had the wherewithal, they would go head long into the Michael Jackson thing; bleaching the brown out and knocking out the large, air intake ducts! You can take your pick as to whether it’s vanity or just plain self-hate.

As far as skin-tones I'd say it's not just light skinned as one of my favorite girls Coco was on Shemale Yum two times. And she was quite dark. So at the very least you don't have to be yellow or lighter.

cool. again i don't know if it's true or not. just asking a question that one of my good friends asked me. i know some girls feel like being asked to model for btg is like being asked to play in the d-league of the nba. you know, they think we're good but not great.

Yeah I see what you mean. But in reality getting asked to model for any Grooby site is top notch. This ain't some bush league operation.

Shemale Yum is generally non-black TS models. Black-Tgirls is on equal standing to Shemale Yum. Same pay, same exposure and although not as large a membership it's still very large AND dedicated to one ethnicity unlike Shemale Yum.
Criteria, when we started and we had less choice of models we'd sometimes use some black models on Shemale Yum. Some will sometimes slip through if I didn't realize they were black - or they're mixed but I prefer to keep it seperate most of the time with black models (or yum models) graduating to Shemale Pornstar or our DVD sites. The top models from both of those sites often appear on Franks-Tgirlworld.com also.

I've been on this site and board for quite awhile and I've seen babes go from salt to sugar, so to speak and I haven't seen any other site that exclusively promotes "black" t-girls such as this one! For example; India, she did a hardcore in '09; look at her developement when she first came to the site in '08 until now. I can safely assume that the site had a lot to do with her growth and exposure. I could name a number of black t-girls who have blossomed by just being on this site. Look at Sheeba's past sets up until now; she's developed quantum leaps since she first graced this site in '03.
All the girls I know are familiar with this site, want to be on this site and undoubtedly, want to use it as a stepping stone for other endeavors, mainly for escorting notoriety, which many have done.

The whole of Grooby could be called "developmental" - we're the only company that takes so many risks on new models and goes out with such an effort to find new talent, which is why so many models knows of us but they don't graduate to anywhere ... they continue to work on our sites but often as more polished models.
Actually, I don't know if we showed a black model on Shemale Yum in 2010 and can't remember the last one.

I actually filmed Denise Vixen who is mixed with black and she was fairly adamant about appearing on Shemale Yum. So I requested she be put on Yum instead of Black Tgirls and you know what? I feel she would have done a lot better over here on Black Tgirls, as guys didn't really start voting and commenting until her cum scene video went up and then they went crazy.

I don't find this shocking at all. Unfortunately there are cookie cutter standards of beauty in America which we all have been brain washed with since birth. Funny thing is unless its created surgically the majority of the world does not look like that. I often here such and such is cute for a black girl or cute for a big girl or cute for her age. Until people especially women and transwomen are seen as people and not part of the collective these kinds of attitudes will continue to persist. Womens beauty and worth in general are always described in comparison to another woman.
Most people say she is cute and leave it at that.
It's always she is better than x, y and z
or
She fine as yadda yadda

I think we've had this conversation before when I started to put you in contact with some of the girls I knew. The notion was that the 'redbones' got put on yum and everybody else ended up on btg. I guess that the powers that be probably didn't know that is a touchy subject within the black american community. To some it reinforces the stereotype that lighter is better. Some girls felt that they were 'better' than btg.
Seanchai I am not sure how to put it. I think for some its like being asked to model for blacktails magazine vs. Being asked to model for playboy. Granted, all things being equal as you stated, I guess the perception is still there that yum is like FOX and btg is like TVONE.
Doesn't mean that the folks over at grooby are wrong for doing what they do. Maybe its just an indicator of how mentally fucked up some of us (black folks) are that even though we may get the same pay and similar exposure on btg (as seanchai pointed out) as yum or franks does that the girls still have this perception that its 'less than' due to color alone.

Actually, as has been stated, Yum has featured a variety of BTG's all colors since it's inception. I, personally thought that it was based on if a girl would do well over there. Like Emma (totally cool girl!) for instance, who isn't light skin but has the punky clothing style and 'chan' lingo.

I brought up Denise Vixen to illustrate that just being light skin doesn't mean they will do well on Yum.

For SOME it MIGHT seem like that but that is there on perception and in-security issues - not ours.
Did you read what I said? We don't put "red-bones" on Shemale Yum, we put them here ... look at the girls over 2010 that were featured on this site?
I think sometimes people want them to be black to be featured here, when those girls either aren't black - or don't identify with being black (mixed race).

would u put a non black tg on btg if she identified herself as black or as 'urban/hip hop'?
Since u brought up the issue of self identification
I know when it comes to business, a lot of blacks will choose to self identify as other or mixed because its deemed advantagous. Shits been going on since the days of slavery.

Black Tgirls is for Black transsexuals. Shemale Yum is for non-Black Transsexuals of all races. There is no classification that goes on, there have been some black TS's on SMY, but rarely and none that I'm aware of in the last year other than the one Remy mentioned, which I couldn't even remember.
I don't care about what people think about themselves or other people. I have the final say who gpes where and it's not based on skin tone.

I don't think it's unfair or "cunt"-like to ask about the amount of Asian t-girls in the Yum model pool these days. I ask because looking over the Grooby site list, they seem to be the most similarly-situated group to which I could draw a comparison and I'm just curious to see how that's handled.
Even though I can completely understand why a business-minded person would steer black models (especially new ones) toward BTG instead of Yum, I've gotta say that it's a bit glaring to see Yum described as being for "Non-black transsexuals" since -- as stated -- it seems like being black is the main criteria for exclusion.

im sure senchai has a grasp on what his customers want to see.
a quota doesn't mean much when it comes down to the bottom line.
plus if you want to see black tgirls, you have an option to.
if you want asian or anything else, you can see that too.
there's an outlet for every type you want to see.

Only problem is that I don't think any of them are capable of viewing the situation from outside of the circle.

I answered your post with decorum and class and you ignored it and continued to twist it to your own agenda (which this whole discussion seems aimed at) and now you feel like you need to threaten me with having to meet me in person?
It's tiring and futile to have to deal with people like you - and adds nothing to the site. By all means, ask the question you did - but don't ignore it when the answer wasn't supporting what you want.
1. I'll gladly refund your membership to Black-Tgirls, PM me your subscription number and you can go and take your issues elsewhere.
2. I'm easy to find. I'll be at the Tranny Awards, I'm at numerous shows throughout the country. Would I call you a cunt to the face, probably not as I'm fairly amiable in person but if you continued to ignore MY answers to questions that only I can answer, then yes, I would.

You are asking a fair question and I'd expect that when I answer it, you'll accept my answer and not ignore it to continue on a fixed agenda.
What is your question about Asian-Tgirls? Shemale Yum/Black-Tgirls have always been sister-sites with neither being better or worse than the other. They both get new models and existing stars and update with a mixture of both. Black-Tgirls has recently went to hardcores every week (SMY is still on every two weeks) as it's something the members wanted, increasing the budget substantially).
When models come in, the black models go on Black Tgirls and the non-blacks on Shemale Yum. If we started a site with all Asian American/European or Native American Tgirls, then those models would go that direction. The only ulterior motive, is that we've found that by seperating the sites instead of making them one site, we can provide more models and keep more people happier which makes for a more profitable business model.

I didn't need to add anything more substantive than what I'd stated and you'd ignored. The girls might have an issue if SMY was seen as a better site (it's not) but it's you that obviously as an internal (psychological) issue with having to keep at it, even though I'd stated this wasn't the case, therefore, calling me a liar. No, it's a dicussion board for Black-Tgirls the website, if other black transgender issues come into this, then that's all the better. Black Tgirls is a site dedicated to black transexual models, so why do you feel they should be on Yum? You wouldn't see an American black model on Shemale Japan, Ladyboy-Ladyboy, or Brazilian Transexuals either. If the black model appeared on Yum, the BTG members would miss out, which is why I regretted requesting Denise Vixen go on the Yum site.

Just shows how easily that subjects of a racial nature can still spark heated debate, even in the 21st century. I understand KO's point and somewhat agree. I also understand Seanchai's/Remy's point and can definitely understand how they are explaining the criteria. I've seen black transsexuals on SMY, but most were of the lighter complexion. However, there are a few darker complexioned girls on SMY like India (with the tremendous cum shots). She definitely can't be mistaken for a European girl. As Seanchai said, "a few slip through the cracks" that you can't necessarily tell are black unless they told you. I've seen some mixed (light-skinned) girls on BTG as well that you would think are SMY material based on skin tone. I don't think Grooby was being racially discriminating when developing the different sites. I think it would have been a huge slap in the face if SMY had been named European T Girls or something like that. At that point, I think KO would have more of a justification to his argument. It's almost like gentrification of a neighborhood. We all know why they clean up an area, build expensive condos and highrises, raise the property value and re-populate the area with a different type of people but one not dare say the true reason because if one said "it was only to clear out the blacks because the whites want this area back", then one would be considered racist, playing the race card, or pushing a racist agenda. It's not very easy to talk about sensitive issues like race in this society because no one wants to be considered a racist. Even though most of us have our stereotypical views, no one dare admits it.
I don't know if I clearly made my point but, I tried to make it without stepping on toes. You know, treading lightly?

I haven't recently had a SMY account so I 'm not familiar with what's been going on over there. But in the past I kept a subscription active and I do remember seeing some black girls over there. Which supports what you said Seanchai.

I wasn't aware that the site had been around for so long. But I think Vidman has a point. This topic is really touchy. However One could argue about why the caucasian t-girls have to share their site with all other races while the Asians, Blacks and Brazilians all have their own site. Does it sound ridiculous?
It should.
The thing is, the sites have been set up to appeal to certain demographics. Are we going to pitch a fit because Justin Bieber isn't targeting black males as his audience? I hope not.
But, I suppose to answer the original question, there is no real criteria for a black t-girl's appearance on Shemale Yum. On one hand you have light skinned girls like Denise something who was mentioned earlier and on the other you have dark girls like Lisa Cage. So... I guess the criteria is how well shemale yum viewers will react... as Remy said earlier I believe. I'm really just reiterating points here without all the... anger.

Didn't know that was a "premium site" lol. But I just checked it out and I see a few black girls on there of all shades. Just on the front page I saw Mia Isabella, who is of the lighter complexion. I saw Natassia Dreams who is clearly of the darker persuasion. I also see Katie Coxx who is somewhat in between. Again, I'm not disagreeing with you and Remy, Seanchai. I can just see where KO was going. He tried to innocently pose it as a simple question, but he was trying to go there. I understand why he was going there and I agree with your retort. I think we get caught up on words sometimes. The title "Black-Tgirls." Anytime you put a color in anything, especially when you associate it to people, you're gonna get some pushback/defiance by someone. Maybe if it was called Shemale Sistas or something? LOL!!!!! But my point is, emphatically, that even in this day and age, race is a very very charged subject matter. As long as we've been dealing with race on this planet, it still remains the most touchy subject of all.

would u put a non black tg on btg if she identified herself as black or as 'urban/hip hop'?
Since u brought up the issue of self identification
I know when it comes to business, a lot of blacks will choose to self identify as other or mixed because its deemed advantagous. Shits been going on since the days of slavery.
A white girl on black tgirls?!? Sorry, I couldn't resist :) :p

I think so. It's something for everyone I suppose. If I recall, seeing Natassia Dreams go at it with Kimber James was something else. So having something like that on this site would definitely draw a crowd.

White chocolate? A true oxymoron if there ever was one!
Ooooo Weeeee, What's up with that, wassup wit dat?
I remember when the original Yum first got split up, BTG and the ladyboy sites being among the first spinoffs, if I recall correctly. And I was a little sad because it meant I'd have to pay more to see all that content. But from the business POV, that was exactly the idea: make more money ! And if you've got a ton of content, that's a sensible way to split it up. I think that for the consumers it has more to do with PREFERENCE -- there's nothing deeply sinister about which category of site a customer would join. At least that's how it is with me. Likewise I doubt there's anything more going on than dividing the content by preference.
A comment about d-league: those are extraordinary basketball players. For the girls selected to do porn, at least a lot of guys want to see them naked (well, usually), which already puts them in an exclusive league. Try standing in a Walmart sometime and think of how many random people you'd like to see naked. You might be surprised how few.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Go back and look at the question asked and how it was worded. How that simple question got turned into all of this is amazing. Haven't seen the boards this live since moni (the original white chocolate) used to post.
If I wanted to be ass, believe me, I am not thr type to mask my intent. I just wanted to talk about it. The king and his pawns instantly went on the defense. Never said they had a thing against black girls, never said there sites were racists, all I asked was what was the criteria. He said yum wasn't really for blacks, ok cool. Your an ass and clown. Your intent was clear and less of the crap about king and pawns. Let me ask you one question - when I answered what the "criteria was" why did you then continue to question it?
Stop twisting the words and stop being so immature. I've posted a response to all your posts, if you want to keep this up, take it elsewhere - off this forum.

Your post are what turned the thread into all of this. We answered the question of "what's the criteria for black tgirls to be featured on shemale yum?" on the very first page of thread. In turn you replied back taking it everywhere else it didn't need to go. You said:
I think we've had this conversation before when I started to put you in contact with some of the girls I knew. The notion was that the 'redbones' got put on yum and everybody else ended up on btg. I guess that the powers that be probably didn't know that is a touchy subject within the black american community. To some it reinforces the stereotype that lighter is better. Some girls felt that they were 'better' than btg.
This is totally untrue and we pointed out examples to illustrate such evidence to prove your words false. You say we are on the defensive simply because we answered your question and gave examples, so it really seems that you, are on the offense. You mention that I am stating the obvious and you still don't understand? You, by your choice of words, are trying to make it appear as if skin tone is a factor, it's not. You, are the one asking if non black tgirls would be featured on a specifically black site. It's been done, and before you've brought this topic up. Also, check out hottie Unique who looks white, is mixed and on BTG cause that's how she identifies :p
As vidman stated and which you agreed:
I can just see where KO was going. He tried to innocently pose it as a simple question, but he was trying to go there.
We all saw where you were trying to go, and I think that's what made Seanchai blow his top perhaps. It's a wild, rude, and untrue accusation, to 'sort of' make.

You highlighted that passage of mine to prove your point and proved mine instead. How in the world are YOU gonna tell me that the conversations and discussions I have with chicks are false? Really?
That's there opinion, not mine. Furthermore, that reply was in response to your reply, not his.
This cat wants to ban me sooooo bad his dick gets hard thinking about. That's some truly funny shit. Can't beat me in a debate so I'll cancel his membership from trannyland. I shouldn't be suprised given his history with posters who disagree or have contrary views than his.

1. No, quit being bitter, what are you...19? A grown ass man carrying on like that.
At what point have I been bitter? What has age to do with this, refusing to be manipulated by your comments and posts and continuing to state my facts, as I did in my first response shows far more composure and maturity than your ego-driven responses have been.
2. You called me a fucking "cunt" from out of nowhere. I've bodied people for much less in my younger days. I assure you, you would never in you're privledged life say that to me in person.
Not out of nowhere, I called you a cunt because you are a cunt. What does "bodied people" mean, I don't understand that language? I assure you, as I previously stated, if you'd called me a liar in person, like you'd insinuated here, yes Sir, I would, call you a cunt.
3. Win the war, lose the battle. Its your site. If you wanna ban me, that's your call. but trust, I ain't an easy win my man. You can talk down to your employees, but you won't talk to me like I'm your pawn, bitch, or child.
I wasn't aware we were in a war or a battle? It is my site. By not banning you and letting you have your say, I've stated my position. I don't have any employees who have posted here. I've already talked to you like you deserve ... a cunt.
If you want to talk like adults or handle this like men, I already told you how to reach me.
No you didn't, you told me to PM you??? I TOLD YOU WHERE TO FIND ME and if you confront me at any of those places, we'll have a drink and handle this like men, through discussion, not like children with physical threats. I bet you are dying for me to state your stereotype ... oops, I just went there.:D
Not gonna keep circling this waggon with you. Keep my name out of your mouth. I'm done, you win.
Keep your name off this forum and I will keep my comments from my keyboard. That's all you mean to me - a troll on this forum. You are not a member so you no say here, your irrelevant to anything I have to do here. You need to check your ego ... this isn't about winning or losing, it wasn't a fight - it was a question and a fair answer, which you ignored.
As good as this post has been for SEO and the forum, I think it's talked out and as MrKnockoff stated, "he's done" - so I'm locking it.
