*sigh* .... Now I have to steal his face...

Wasn't Adrien Brody in The Village?

You know, I kind of had a "tiny" crush for Heath Ledger as well, until he did that gay movie anyway, then lost all interest and then regained with Batman lol I liked the roles he chose for his movies.

I actually always liked him in movies as well. He struck me as the kind of guy I'd wanna look like because it'd make getting women a lot easier. Plus that one line in 10 Things I hate About you. " What... you don't think I'm pretty? "

Nope, actually have to get some work done on vehicle before I can do any traveling and the weather pushed all my shoots back unnecessarily. I oddly enough lost net service with the Irene but power never went out. Guess that wasnt too bad compared to some though.

Ok Showtime, this is your chance to prove your worth. Showtime is making a miniseries based on Stephen King's excellent novel Under The Dome. Stephen King/Richard Bauchmann has always been one of my favorite authors, so I'm cautiously waiting to see what Showtime will do with the property which isn't going to be easy to reproduce correctly on film.

Holy crows feet and bat wings!! Did anyone follow this season of Torchwood?!? Fucking awesome season, and the finale didn't disappoint! Ah, the only problem is that next season wont likely pick up where this left off as they are usually self contained, if I recall, and I want the show to go on!

Also Rescue Me went out with a bang (literally)! Great show I've followed from start to finish.

haha sorry, I didn't realize that was the finale, I don't watch tv per se. I'm acquiring the online versions. Actually, he's a Were-Wolf, the were panthers are the ones living in the junkyard and that tried to bring Jason into the fold for mating purposes. All other versions of 'were animals' are notoriously hard to spread through bites though, unlike were wolves. In some stories they have to do blood transfusions to get the person to become a were panther (if they survive) because it's usually a birth right sort of thing.

I wouldn't call her a 'bitch' but yeah, she is one faerie that loves to have sex. These paranormal romance stories (original source material) tend to have a lot of that going on though. Yeah, Tiara getting the Cobain treatment was sucky, but I was stuck between annoyed and intrigued with her character. However; was glad to see Sookie deliver the same justice back toward the werewolf chic.

With the Rev coming back as a vampire and releasing the King of Mississippi from his concrete tomb is setting up some awesome action for next season. Really thought there was one last episode, dammit! lol The King of Louisiana (Bill) and his Sheriff are really going to be 'in it' now, now that they are effectively on the run.

Why can you not stand him? I think his portrayal of a gay black man is spot on and well done. I like the character and I like that he is flamboyant (butch queen) whilst still be strong and standing up for himself and others. I think any straight man playing a gay character this well is a very good actor indeed. He is also an award winning playwright, this young black man has some good stuff going for himself.

I will have some wine if offered but not going to order it myself usually. One of my GG friends is a sou chef and she drinks the stuff down by the bottle, I can't do all that. I don't normally, care to mix sugary flavors or dairy with alcohol.

Cleveland from Family Guy, also known as Stanley from The Office. XD

I actually don't drink much at all. Maybe once or twice a year. I can't hold my liquor for shit. And when I get drunk I have to be in a very, very happy place or when I sober up I'll be pissed for two weeks straight. It's happened.

lol That character is voiced by a white guy, forget his name though I have also heard Seth Macfarlane do some good impressions of him. Stanley from "The Office" is a good real life image too! :)

I don't get 'drunk', I might have 2 drinks and then some water for a while, and then possibly another 2. I just like to get a little tipsy, barely. Few years back I decided I would not end up an alcoholic so I totally switch my drinking habits, and don't miss those drunken night truly wasted and doing it again the next day. Some years back, I had a whole family of cousins killed by a drunken driver. I don't even ride in a car with people that are intoxicated anymore.

People always feel like they are ok to drive, or that they live close and can make it home. I spent a few years as a taxi driver, so I was always more than happy to get someone home safely even if they didn't have enough for the trip. However; having riders puking in the back was so not cool. I kept throw up bags in the back of the front seats, so that customers could at least try to keep things from spiraling into a complete catastrophe. ;)

Oh I know, I've seen enough episodes to know I will enjoy the show a lot, I just want to really appreciate it from beginning to end.

lol I kind of like Hung, well, I like the actor, the show has had to grow on me because it isn't that great I'll admit.

I'm still trying to find a good copy of the latest episode of Weeds. As much as I like Weeds, the characters make some of the dumbest decisions ever, after all they have been through, there has been little growth. They are still making the same mistakes that was made in seasons 1-2. If anything, it shows just how dumb criminals can be, and I find myself getting tired of all the "get out of jail/trouble free" cards they keep acquiring.

Yep, I'm a gal that has worn a many different hats. It's helped me appreciate life and become more of a well rounded *wags ass* person. :) As always, I enjoyed it because I didn't have a boss or strict schedule to stick to, just me, the road and my customers. Hell, I didn't even have to rely on the radio, just slide over to Naval Station Norfolk and give each of the sailors my cards, and they'll be calling me direct from then forward. Up until about a year or two ago, I'd still get the random call from someone with my card that wanted to know if I was still driving. I always took my customers the most direct route, would let them have their cigarettes (kept febreeze so cab didn't stink), and would have some awesome jams to listen to en route. Well, awesome so long as you liked rock and/or reggae.

I once took a sailor from Norfolk airport to Cincinnati in the cab, my longest trip, 11 hours each way. Biggest tip I ever got, a little over $100.

Wow, I'm always surprised when I speak with someone who has done little to no traveling. I'm a girl who thoroughly loves road trips! I'm a bit lucky being a military brat, I've had a lot of experience being exposed to different countries and cultures and being able to see life from a different perspective. It's never too late to take a journey outside of your comfort zone, and doesn't have to necessarily be anywhere overly far. Most of the time the destination is relevant, and all the fun and experience is had in the journey.

I've been to other states on trips here and there, but that was largely in part when I was a kid. Since becoming a teenager I've barely gone anywhere and when I did go somewhere I usually hated it. Probably because I was going with people who were of no real interest to me. ( strangers and family I barely know ) One of these days I'd like to actually go somewhere with people I know I can enjoy a trip with.

BTW, what happened to Amber? I went to go drop her a line and it looks like she's done here. >_>

I know she was in DC last time I spoke with her, and hoping to link up with her soon for more productions. Didn't realize she was 'done here' though I did notice she removed some of her recent post. Next time I speak with my friend I will see what's up. It shouldn't be odd to see a girl grow away from these type of sites though. Not everyone is in this business as a 'career' and the way a lot of the conversations go here, it can be hard for a trans girl that doesn't have a vested interest to maintain a presence here. Hell, look how few of the models that do have a vested interest hang around and actually make a significant presence here.

i wish i hadn't sat down and watch all of these movies. I kinda wanna slap someone right now. It was a brilliant & intricate plot & cunning, witty, && overall cathartic trilogy. But, The character development was more like stupefying the main characters that people began to grow an attachment to.

Example: Young Anikan was a bit of a hot head but he listened && obeyed without back talk. That made him adorable because everyone knew his character was sweet honest && only to help.

Example: Teenage/Immature Anikan was a smart ass know it all who felt the need to voice his opinions even when they were not asked of him. He showed lack of discipline to be a 'jedi' through his endless mouthing off && constant "I MUST...."

Example: Adult Anikan Obviously was not mature enough to be a father. He didn't want the baby when Padme told him she was pregnant.( u could see it all on his face 'bitch u told me u pushed it all out & u were on the pill' ) He continued his disobedience && constant complaining of what was not fair, yet he neglected to see things through perspective; only viewing things in his own bias aspects leading him directly to the dark side. His immaturity like a child, naive & driven by the thought you are better then others (false sense of benevolence) Omnipotence is not meant for man. For him to be taught the ways of the Jedi, he surely hated them: With No reasoning he completely turned his back on his religion & his way of life. In turn he loss those he loved && betrayed himself. He believed something he never thought through.

If someone walks up to u && tells u i am the evil one who murdered my master, but i can teach u how to save your wife from sudden death( && u have never spoken a word to anyone on how she dies in a premonition) u question as how they know of this ( my first mind would be inception) if u have the power to bring forth the dead, then u may have telepathy aswell. I would think people in the future would be pass the naive nature of today, but i guess a majority of us wont evolve in time. Its like talking to an ape(Anikan being the Ape)

&& Another thing why in the hell would Obe Wan be jealous of him. Makes no sense. Idiots who dream of power end up in jail or dead. (life fact)

Ugh Im sooo over star wars.

HAhaha too hilarious Brooklyn. I actually love the original 3 Star Wars films, but the newer prequels are lacking. I really don't have much to add, as your sentiments wrap it all up nicely.

I did think the first prequel was cute, with the kid Skywalker, the second one was very 'meh'. By the third one, I just wanted to be able to say I saw Skywalker become Darth Vader in the theater on day one, which was the only reason I sat through it. I liked seeing him go to the dark side, but the implementation was very lacking.

On another note, I still love Indiana Jones, every last film! George can still do some things right I reckon.

Yeah, but I'm not always playing that game any more. The game play irks me, with the lack of "aiming down iron sights" I feel like it's more arcade game than strategy and I'm most into military shooters like Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon. Another reason I can't get into Call of Duty, which is also arcade like, as no real skill is needed to play, just point and shoot. I like my shooters to have more realism, and apparently only Tom Clancy's games really get it right. :)

Anyone going to be making the upgrade to the new iPhone 4S? I was really hoping for something 'more' from Apple opposed to this incremental change on the hardware side. However I've been sitting back with the iPhone 3GS for some time now so I might as well take advantage of my Upgrade discount and make the move to the newest setup. As much as I'd like to hold out for the inevitable iPhone 5 that will likely launch at the more usual Spring time, I'm currently on the iPhone 3GS so this upgrade now will still be worthwhile. Plus, I totally want 64Gb of space and the upgraded processor should be a treat. Being a DSLR shooter, I care not for the cameras on cell phones, will never be a make or break feature for me. yea, it waz real disappointing to see that this upgrade not going to be the inevitable iphone 5..... there doing the same thing with the next ipad which aint even gonna be the Ipad 3 like everybody thought, but The Ipad HD which is gonna be preety much exactly the same as the ipad 2 but with better screen resolution....
its like apple is just trying to stay consistent with releasing new products along with there new ios firmware updates, jus so they can always have new products on the market at all times of the year. Which it almost feels like there watering down their new tech just so they'll still always have a new attraction to incorporate in there next generation devices....

I think its a smart business practice, but for true techies its Bullshit....
so on that note i just might wait for the Iphone 5 or Ipad 3 to come out instead

I agree with what you said, though I read an article stating basically that their formula of releasing new hardware (3G, 4G) and half new hardware (3GS, 4S) is based off the 2 year contract scheme of the carriers. People aren't likely to upgrade to new tech if it means breaking the contract, so they do the incremental update for anyone who hasn't adopted Apple yet and then the full update in time for the early adopters contract to be up for renewal. So, to me it does seem like a mix of all that has been stated on the subject.

I've yet to be impressed by the iPad. It still seems just like a bigger iPhone/iPod and thus no need for me to buy just for the bigger screen. I've been dying a little on the inside with the glut of tablets that has been released thus far. In that, I've wanted to jump up and run out and buy one of these Android tablets for some time now, but they are just now starting to have features that I actually want. USB ports/hosting for instance, and mostly they've barely been getting this right. I fail to see what the big deal is.

I want a tablet for productivity in my workplace/on sets. Not to sit around playing games, twatting (twitter), or facebitch (book). lol :p I want to be able to pull up my images from my camera and review on a bigger/portable screen, I use DSLR so it's Compact Flash not SD. I wouldn't even mind first putting images on laptop and then onto usb to view on tablet. They just keep dumbing down these awesome tablets to be casual consumer experiences instead of focusing on the awesome business potentials. At this rate, Microsoft will have the ultimate tablet I want, but I'm still holding out for Android as I really do like what they've been coming out with, just can't justify the price when I still can't use it practically on set.

yea i feel you completely! An your right An Ipad is basically just an big screen Iphone....But yea A multi ported tablet would be awesome to use for shoots to quickly review images on set....an iv seen some good android ones that im extremely tempted to get, like the Samsung Galaxy, Toshiba Thrive, or the Motorola Zoom, all seem like pretty damn good tablet choices.

I got a idea Remy that could work with what your trying to do with reviewing images on any tablet without a usb port.....You could just buy a wireless compact flash card for your DSLR to wirelessly send the pics you take to your PC automatically, then download a streaming program on your tablet, such as StreamToMe or VLC Streamer to instantly view them from your PC on your tablet.... It should work theoretically!

Me too!! Sadly, I just started watching this show this season so will enjoy going back through the previous seasons to get caught up. Will have to go out and find the box sets.

***Spoiler Alert****

I didn't see it as Walt doing that, despite seeing the plant at the very end. Seemed more like Jesse backed Walt into the corner and Walt came up with the most logical explanation for why the kid was poisoned. After all the damn cigarette was missing. Maybe I need to go watch the last two episodes again. I mean, what you are basically saying then is that Walt actually did poison the kid right? I don't think that's what happen, the kid tried the berries and got sick. Jesse came at Walt waving the gun making wild assumptions and Walt said what he thought happen on the spur of the moment. Walt mind was a bit fractured at this time with everything going on, the maniacal laughter in the crawl space at the end of the third to last episode shows that. I don't think Walt had the wherewithal to go so far and poison the kid or really plot out that specific series of events. Walt was thinking big, i.e. explosives after the poison in cigarette bit failed.

Im with Kasseen on Walt manipulating that whole situation. Walt got the ricen or risen, however you spell it, from Jesse in the Meth Lab when he asked for a cig. Thats when he took the poisoned one, flipped it and lit it up. Then before the whole Brock poisoning part where Walt is sitting by the pool spinning the gun on the table, on the last spin it points at the same flower pot from the end of the finale episode.

As for how he poisoned Brock, I got no clue how he would get close to him so maybe Saul was involved with that. Ill leave that for season 5.

And yea Remy watch em all, its been on fuckin point since the beginning

Yea, I dont know exactly how he poisoned him yet, as they'll probably explain that in the next season,(either Saul, or the night before the finally when he visited Jesse at his girls house) but he had to as all the evidence suggest so....
I believe Walt basically planed his move out to get Jesse back an turn him back on Gus by playing off his emotions (known issues between Jessie an Gus about killing kids) and by using unknown science to Jessie 2 trick him by using the non lethal plant poison and making Jesse think it was the lethal risen instead....
Thats my best solid theory....

Just read an article saying that the US will do a remake of the excellent British show The Misfits. Basically, delinquents doing community service gain super powers and all manner of mischief ensue.

While the Being Human USA remake isn't too bad, I really don't think the British nature of teenagers will translate well, and the joys of this show aren't in some random kids getting super abilities, but in the culture they live in and how they react to each other. I think if you use Hulu you can watch the original British version online, only two seasons in so far and in typical British fashion each season is only 6 episodes long, so will be easy to get caught up on what is an awesome show and what can only be a total catastrophe in American hands.

Ohhhh I want one of those!! :D That sub machine gun, appears to be an AK-47u. I'd actually rather have a MP5, as the AK-47u is a mini chopper bound to rip bodies apart, but zombies would keep on crawling. I'd take the less stopping power of the MP5 for the enhanced accuracy and the much more plentiful ammo of 9mm rounds. With the MP5 taking head shots would be a breeze for any lay person.

The Misfits is great, did I put you onto it? The remake is likely to be horrible, cool great looking kids made to look like geeks (with shiny teeth and cool hair) and none of the really dark humour. I saw the Shameless remake and despite the inclusions of William H Macy ... it sucks.

Nah, I have some other mates across the pond that recommend shows that I might like. Recent new shows I've picked up include, The Body Farm, and The Fades. You are right about Shameless though, I love WHM, but that show isn't worth the time at all in the US incarnation.

I actually can use your help though as I'm sure you are one of those Facebook users. I found this link http://www.channel4.com/microsites/M/misfits/main.html with a mini movie for Nathan, but you have to be a fucking FB user to see the bloody thing. I refuse to join that site, but would love to watch this episode as it explains what happens to Nathan as he wont be returning for Season 3. Why does every thing have to revolve around FB!?! Truly wish that bell end never created that site! If you could download it and let me catch it I would be oh so grateful!

I'm usually fairly suspect when American comedies are involved. I'm not one of those people whom just watch a movie cause it says Tyler Perry on it, actually that's almost guaranteed to get me to not watch it, but I digress. 30 Min or Less is a very funny comedy that had me busting out laughing on multiple occasions, and while not as funny as The Hangover band of merry men, it is still very good indeed. Certainly worth a buy from the DvD isle.

Its almost shockingly funny to see how staid the forum is when nobodys talking about dick n balls.

Anyway

Remy, I see your point about it being a zombie post-apoc show but at the same time its airing on AMC which has a repuation for first rate production/acting. If it were on say SYFY I could look past the red blood thing.

Can someone point out if this has been addressed already. I've watched every episode but I haven't followed the comic. Is this curse/disease just carried in humans? Can animals be affected?

During the zombie apocalypse do you:

- Grab your "Go bag" and leave town? If so, to where?

- Off yourself, choosing to go out your way versus as living lunch meat?

- Become a devote religious person, hoping your God will save you?

Exactly why I created this thread, though occasionally someone will create a decent thought provoking thread. Most of it is relegated to the obsessions of trans and their body parts. Which is fine, this is a porn site forum, but leaves a lot to be desired for any real conversations outside of cum, cock, ass, tits. I've been pondering giving HA another shot, being that I spend considerable time looking over Amber shoulder whilst she visits it, and certainly seems like some interesting stuff goes on there aside from a lot of bs.

I agree, an explanation would be nice with regards to the level of blood flow in the cranium. I would say that the blood collected within the brains blood/brain barrier is just sitting there pooling with the decaying flesh within, so that's what we are witnessing. That level of color should vary depending on how 'freshly' dead a person is, along with the ambulatory factor of the 'Walkers'.

Yes, it is just humans, it hasn't gained the ability to jump to other species. Which gives credence, in my opinion, that it is more super-natural based than epidemic. Again, if you die from natural causes, having nothing to do with zombies, if your brain is undamaged, you will rise a zombie.

Only problem I can see with our line of thought on this is that we are applying scientific facts to what has been called a biblical/religous curse. Maybe the cold doesn't affect them...we really don't know since the scope of the world they are in is so small. Its hyper local on a town by town basis, not really any mention of how the plague has hit other countries. We also haven't been through winter yet.

Hell in that regard id head to the dakotas...but that's the catch, its takes a special type to survive in that climate with no modern conveinences. Also less population = less food and gas supply, nothing to scavenge off, which has been their m.o. thus far. There's only one hunter in the group.

Honestly I think the best place to go would be Canada. It might sound crazy but if you can actually meet up with a lumberjack or woodsman who hasn't gone insane and is actually willing to help then you're in really good hands. Of course I wouldn't know exactly where to go but, anywhere is better than being in NYC during a zombie apocalypse...

Haha let me wake up first geesh lol just kidding. This was a very interesting episode, in that Amber and I debated at length over the decision of what to do with Randall.

Now, for the record, I actually agree with her that Randall should be some how or another sent away, but not killed out right. However; loving to take up the devils advocate from time to time, I did bring up the very real fact that Randall did try to kill Rick and the others already. Randall claims to be a nice guy, but anyone being tortured will say anything the can to make the pain stop. For many reasons, Randall poses a threat to Ricks merry band of survivors and deciding what to do with him is an important step, because just letting Randall live to regroup with his friends and come back to Hershell's farm to take it over is a likely scenario.

Dale, you will be missed. Clearly one of the most humane people on the show, I didn't expect the ending that occurred. It really was a sad moment, especially considering how drawn out and traumatic it was. Dale didn't deserve that, the one person who was fighting for 'life' get's gutted out by a fucking walker. It kind of goes to show that Life is not Fair, and to me only brought back to focus how just letting Randall go, as the Swamp Walker was let go (intentional or not) can seriously come back to bite them in the ass.

I would've done away with Randall from the start. Or just left him there stuck to that fence. Someone shooting at me is not my problem once they stop doing that.

As for Dale, truth be told as soon as I heard someone say " I'm gonna go look for Dale. " I knew that was it for him. Frankly he was too much of an idealist in a world where reality is shit. In times like that you either do what you have to in order to survive, or you die.

In the heat of the moment, right after the fire fight, I would have been 'ok' with Randall dying. After all, he was just trying to take the life of me and mine. Soon as Rick wanted to save him though, I most likely would have been with him and wanted to save him as well. Just the type of person I am.

On one hand, I agree that times have changed and 'some' concessions need to be made. However; at the end of the day, I would have stood with Dale and could not have just killed someone in cold blood. So much so, I would have volunteered to take Randall one state over and leave him to fend for himself. There are many unknowns with Randall, but killing him is not the only solution to resolving the issue.

Very valid points.

My opinion: they should have left randall impaled on the fence as walker food.

There's no getting over the fact that he tried to kill you. He had mallicous intent!
Inviting him to live with the group is like inviting a rapist to babysit your kids.

Dale had to die. There's no room for 'humane' decisions in a dying, lawless world. He didn't deserve the death that he got but, the irony of his death proves why he had to go. Turn the other cheek and get bit in the ass.

I disagree with Dale having to die and with there being no place for 'humane'. In a world reduced to lawless behavior, the group of survivor that maintain civility is going to be the safest option. Imagine being in a group of 'Shane' personalities where you may become walker bait if he decides he doesn't like you anymore whilst out foraging. Fucking insane place it would become real quickly when you might get killed over any disagreement, or if you are precieved as being weak.

Cosmic we can take it a step further...check out the movie 'the road'. In a true apocolypse, where there is rule of law, a shortage of food, and water, rape is the least of your worries. You won't have to worry about zombies eating you as weak and desperate men will start to canibalize one another for food to fufill basic human needs.

That actually came up in the comic as well. Since it clearly isn't about to be a spoiler. Dale got caught by a group of cannibals. What they didn't know however was that he had been bitten and was " tainted meat. "

But yeah, food, water, that's always a big issue in a post apocalyptic world. Though water is usually much more of an issue in the event of a nuclear holocaust than a zombie out break.

Max Max is a pretty good example.

I hear what you two are saying, but those are examples of particular subsets of society. Particularly which don't tend to care anyway about things like compassion for life, trying to truly do things to better themselves, and just in general doing things the right way.

I do agree, basic provisions would be a huge concern. Luckily, I'm smarter than the average bear. You need to sterilize water, grab plenty of iodine tablets or droplets, give it about 30mins and it's drinkable.

Another option, find cave and/or underground source of water, particularly that passes through limestone. It will have a strong mineral taste like all hell, but that's a natural purifier. Still would suggest boiling do to natural bacteria and such that exist in caves.

Even the average person can fall into that state of mind in a do or die situation. You never know what to expect from a person once the rules no longer apply. Take away the laws for one day and see just how many people become murderers, rapists, and thieves. People you thought would never do such things, maybe even people you know and trust. These are the situations that truly define a person. And you can never know just who they are until they are in them.

There was a controversial research project conducted in either the late 70's or 80's where a group of students basically lived like this for a period of days. Arbitrary rules can't truly define whether a person should live or die. Every life is precious, if it's not in self defense, I'm sorry but I just don't have the capacity to take someone's life. It just shouldn't be that easy, like in a video game or some other form of media. We aren't base animalistic creatures, we are human beings with higher functions and reasoning. Other wise you would just become the monster that you feared. We as humans, without our sentient prowess would have never survived as a species if we just rampaged around killing haphazardly. Even a tiger in a jungle kills only to feed or in self defense. There is always a balance to life. remy, meaning is very subjective. Its like currency. Its only useful if we both agree so. What I value as meaningful and what you value as meaningful can be worlds apart. Who's right & who's wrong?

There are instances where I can see your point, like your example of currency. However; some things are just instinctively known. A baby crying out doesn't need to explain to you it's wants. You simply pick the baby up. Someone speaking a foreign language can wave hello and you wave back. Someone handing some food out to you is clearly trying to break bread. A person in a desert with parched and cracked lips, needs water. Someone sleeping in the rain, needs shelter etc.

The media has desensitized us to not care about our fellow person. Society in general and corporate america in particular has fostered a reward mentality in us. If we don't get something out of what we do, we don't do it. We go to work because we want the reward of being able to buy the materialistic things we desire. We go to war because we want to expand our domestic business in the foreign countries and export their local resources. We pay our tithe because we want the reward of going to heaven. We rape our own lands because we want the cheap access to resources. If you look back to the Native Americans and even today's tribal peoples, heck even the Amish, you can see the reverence for all things. Again, there needs to be a balance to life and I'd go so far to say that the world as a whole would be way better off if we all lived in smaller tribal communities, opposed to how our current society is. In summation, if my choice was to live for myself alone and not do anything for those around me, well life wouldn't be worth living at all. I've been on a operating table and have flat-lined before, I've realized there is 'more' to life than just living. I'm always hearing people talk about the materialistic things they want and I can understand it to a point, it helps us not think about the monotony of life, but call me simple because I'm happy being loved and having someone to love, I give what I have profusely. Ok, I realized I've gone a bit off subject again, so I'll end here lol

You are walking past a car, foraging, not in any imminent danger at the moment, but of course the potential for a zombie horde around the corner is always possible. In this deserted town, there lies a crying baby in the car, do you leave it (it's not yours) or do you pick the baby up and take it with you?

Do you actually believe humans to be any better than the other animals on this planet? Honestly? You're talking about a species that seems to go out of it's way in an attempt to end itself and everything around it. People kill each other just by basis of being slightly different from one another, or even for little slips of paper with the faces of other dead people on it. Your talk of higher reasoning only serves to make them that much worse. Because all it means is that they're fully aware of what they're doing when they do it. Quite frankly humans are the worst pieces of shit on this entire planet. Lying, stealing and killing just for the hell of it. If humans were really as high as you'd like to believe the word genocide wouldn't even exist, because it would be a purely unthinkable concept. Yet several times through history it's come to pass.

The original Feast (not sure about the sequels) was a student project film executive produced and funded by Ben Affleck and company. It's a creature horror movie that harkens back to a time before slasher films became the norm. Buckets of blood, gore and awesome well crafted creatures with an ensemble cast. It went on to spawn two sequels.

Thanks for your input, do you think the zombies actually require the sustenance or would be just as fine with or without the baby snack?

Well, if we're talking Walking Dead here then they do. As the zombies have been shown to decay to a point of being unable to move without eating. Even though they're still... undead... like... able to move... You get what I mean.

One thing I've come to know as a fact is that there is no such thing as a utopian society. Communist north korea is about as isolationist and single minded a country you can find...but the very leaders (and late ones) live for self at the expense of their people. Given long enough, capitalism and materialism erode even the steepest reverent mountains.

I think the key word here is choice. I can choose to hear the baby cry. I can choose to acknowledge the hello. I can choose to receive that meal and break bread. Its my choice if I so choose to. Likewise its my choice to care or not.

Choice is not instinctive, its nurtured.

The only problem I have with this ideology is that we look at humans as if we are separate or beyond the scope of nature. Perhaps in all our humanly fuckedupedness, we are imperfectly perfect at doing what we were designed to do...reset life on planet earth and beyond. Ashed ground yields the most fertile soil...destroy and rebuild. That's the balance of nature. Maybe this is our manifest destiny.

Regardless of the government I think it's the people in power that corrupt. America is supposed to be a nation for the people and by the people. Largely though, it's the big company lobbyist that influence government the most, though not always thankfully.

The good raheme says of course id rescue the baby. The naive raheme says well, this is an apoclpye and food is short perhaps this baby is a trap to fish out prey (big meaty humans). The bad raheme says if I'm not able to provide for the child, if I'm struggling just to survive on my own, id probably have to mercy kill the child to save him/her from becoming a meal or dying a horrible death.

Interesting response.

I, of course would do all I could to take care of the baby.

One of my friends (during our gaming session) stated that they would try to do the same, but if trouble came, they would do like Shane did Otis and drop the baby to distract the zombies so that he could get away. lol fucking bastard

Well, if we're talking Walking Dead here then they do. As the zombies have been shown to decay to a point of being unable to move without eating. Even though they're still... undead... like... able to move... You get what I mean.

I kind of felt that it has never been fully explained. With regards to the tv show, they gut a zombie looking for Sophia remains, and the woodchuck was there undigested.

Overall, I can see them processing food, since being reanimated as given them basic functions of other senses it is not much of a reach for them to process food. It actually keeping them from rotting though? That would also mean that there is full on blood circulation going to deliver said nutrients to the various body parts etc. If that is occurring then wounds would continue to bleed and fester and rot from bacteria and other general infections, like massive total body gangrene.

I tend to think that the process of eating is more so just mechanical from the small part of the brain. Perhaps, as some actual viruses (rabies) do, they biting is a function that serves the virus to spread from host to host, not so much of a conscious decision on the host part.

Just watched this really great movie called Carnage by Roman Polanski. It's nothing but fantastic dialogue and if you don't mind that, I highly suggest checking it out. Cosmic, this movie actually plays to your comments about how a persons fortitude for civility dissolves in the face of tribulation. It's not a long film, barely 1hr 20mins and basically just one long conversation. If anyone has seen the film I'd love to pick your brain over it.

last night was hella dope in the way that the entire end scene was shot in total darkness...that shit was super suspenseful and eerie at the same time like there was a feeling of impending doom/dread. they got rid of 2 major cast members which should free up money to hire 2 or 3 newer permanent cast members.

I have to admit, while I did agree with a couple choices Shane wanted to make, (though not his execution of said choices) I'm glad to see this broken triangle come to an end. It felt like the drama was just going on and on. I thought it was symbolic how both father and son killed Shane as well. Overall, the episode seemed nearly perfect and I'm anxiously awaiting the finale.

Looks like they've already cast The Governor for the next season, which goes into production in April.

Yeah, Lori was going a bit 'entitled' in her rant toward Andrea. I will say that the distribution of duties is important. Whether you choose to stand guard or maintain essences of civility by cleaning and cooking it all helps to keep people sane and feeling like there is some sense of normalcy.

Just saying women should be in the kitchen is very dangerous though. For example, shit hits the fan and the women are needed to take up arms, you want them trained and knowing what they are doing with firearms not worrying about getting their nail broken.

Maybe he was a sociopath. But the fact of the matter is, he was focused on keeping everyone safe. Not just a way of living that isn't going to cut it anymore. People seem to over look that he wasn't acting out of any misguided sense of power, but for the over all good of the people he was looking after.

I'd hardly say killing Otis was for revenge. That was much more of a sacrifice than anything. Not saying it was right. But I'd probably do it too. It's you or me. Or rather, it's you.

Yeah, but it's the execution that's important. For example, America can keep our country safe by dropping nuclear bombs on every other country that isn't strictly aligned with us. However; seeking diplomatic avenues allows each country to change and possibly become an ally as well.

Killing Otis was strictly revenge, they were less than 50 yards from the car. They could have kept humping it the way they were doing, and while the zombies would have been right behind them when they got to the car vehicles are made with safety glass that isn't just going to instantly break. They could have drove over the lot of em and kept it moving. No, Shane was feeling vindictive over Carl being shot by this man and saw a way to make his own getaway that much easier, by making Otis zombie bait, which ultimately was unnecessary.

If I recall correctly the 'rape' didn't actually happen, but it was damned close (she was screaming and beating at him to stop) and that's bad enough, because it shows that the potential was there for Shane to once again go over the edge even with a person he claims he 'loves'.

Yes that's all well and good, but we're not talking about a world where diplomacy is a viable option. Much less with people who just tried to kill you. Diplomacy exists today because people are much more aware that not everyone is trying to rape you, kill you and take your food. That's why it didn't exist millions of years ago.

You're speculating here. It's not as if Shane gave any indication that he was doing it for revenge. And even if they could have limped all the way back to the car, the zombies were gaining ground. Sure he could've taken the risk, or, he could give them a bigger meal. If he wanted to kill Otis for revenge, he wouldn't have needed to wait until they were both about to die for it to happen. He could've put one in his head, grabbed his shit and moved along smoothly.

( As wrong as he is about Rick, so very, very wrong. ) Besides for all the talk of Shane, there isn't a whole lot they could do about him. Aside from doing exactly what Shane would do. Good point there, and also why I really enjoy the show. All the more reason to have good people around you that truly care about your wellbeing. so it looks like the stay at the farm has come to an end. I did think Rick glossing over Carl part in Dales death was wrong. That boy needs to really understand the consequences of his action (or lack there of). Peoples lives are always at stake, so many simple accidents can end in death, plus the little dude is a thief.so not kosher going through Daryl stuff taking his gun as if he gets free reign over things.

Like they haven't been watching each other's asses. I swear the only woman in that group not doing something stupid or fucked up at all times is Andrea.

And on that note, Michonne... * Home Simpson drool *

Personally, if I were Rick, I'd have let every last one of'em go right where they want, and watched out for myself. People turn on you at the drop of a hat, because you didn't give them information THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH. Even Glenn of all people... Rick looked like he wanted to slap the taste out of his mouth.

Alright... I'm done. >_>

What an awesome fucking episode! Zombies out the ass, people getting ate the hell up, andrea getting left behind, rick joining the dark side, lori showing herself to be the evil twisted bitch she is (I told u she was playing both of them Amber!), and MICHONE!

Rick is gonna make one nasty s.o.b. if you cross him. He basically just proved Shane right. Can't lead by democracy. Poor Shane.

Hooded Michone with the two chained zombie slaves was just about as good as tv gets!

Fantastic fucking episode, great way to end the season. While I can hardly wait for the next season, this finale didn't leave me feeling like things are left unanswered which will make the wait slightly more bearable. So many great zombies this episode, I almost felt like I watched a full length zombie movie, with all the undead slaughtering.

At first I thought it was fucked, seeing Andrea having to fend for herself against the ever present walkers. That girl truly is a survivor though, and with Michonne stepping in to save her with her trusty Katana... Drool worthy indeed Cosmic ;) She will be a fantastic addition to the group, and adding a strong black female to the cast gets a resounding "Hooray" from me. Michonne is my favorite character in this series by far, and the best at 'surviving'.

I was a bit let down hearing Rick utter those words about "democracy". Alas, there does need to be a clear and present leader to take the people to safety. I'm not sure that's proving Shane right exactly, as Rick will still likely take peoples (or inanimate objects :p ) views into his own decisions. Just the whole bickering and acting like leading by community when they all want something a little different wont actually get any of them anywhere.

Lori, Lori, Lori, you showed your ass this episode. On the one hand I'm trying to take things into consideration from her point of view. She's had a couple 'bombs' dropped on her this episode, from hearing of her real 'baby daddy' death (Yep, I think Shane was the pappi), to the fact that Carl actually put Shane down and at the end of the day Carl looked up to Shane, to the realization that they are all 'infected' which would include the child she's hoping to bring into the world. lol *Take a second and imagine her trying to abort and the monstrosity that would be trying to claw it's way out of her a la Dawn of the Dead.* She is kind of devious because thinking back, she had talks with both Shane and Rick and sort of played the two against each other. Practically even told Rick to "do something" about Shane to Rick.

Now, I can forgive everyone's anger at Rick for not telling them the news he got from the CDC. He's had months to get over that news, they will too with some time. I don't want to believe that Lori's anger toward Rick was solely on account of Shane death, I think it's a bit of everything including once again her piss poor mothering skills and inability to keep track of Carl for any length of time whatsoever. She really has some nerve going off on Andrea, when she can't maintain her one real responsibility at all.

All in all, everyone's emotions and adrenaline is running stupid high so people acting out a bit is to be expected and Rick is handling that admirably. They are starting to really let us see that Rick will change (grow dark?) with this 'New World' but still try to maintain as much of the past 'law and order' as possible.

T-Dogg, you got more than 30 seconds screen time this episode lol

I'm really excited for the events which will surely unfold next season, dark times are ahead. Zombies are such a minor enemy compared to those with beating hearts.

Indeed! I was rooting for the old man doing his thing.

I agree, I was giving her the evil eye and congratulating Daryl for standing his ground and siding with Rick. She's a regular snake in the grass calling Daryl Rick's "henchman". Andrea has really pulled herself together once she decided she wanted to live since season 1.
