Looks like Grooby is back at it again. They've got another good one coming out. Looks like Sheeba, Luxury, Sasha, Unique and a few others are going to be in this one. Tentative release date is somewhere around mid to late November.

Although I like the girls, I'm kind of bored with the whole compilation thing. Just by looking at the box cover, I can tell that these are scenes that have been extrapulated from the BTG website, which I have already seen, and placed on DVD format. I am ready to see some original material from Grooby, not compilations of old material. This is the reason why production labels such as Tranny Kingz, Androgeny Productions (Roy Alexander), Bacchus and Metropolis don't do well because all they deal with is compilation material. Conversely, this is why Evil Angel does so well, because their material is original. This is all my opinion, and I may not know all the dynamics of porn industry and it's distribution, so please don't take what I'm saying as etched in stone, but I have a feeling that my notions are correct.

However, I will still cop the movie because I just have an obsession with having Black Tgirl porn in my possession. Just popping it in the DVD player on my own volition is more convenient for me.

No offense Vidman but unless you see the numbers you don't know how well they are doing. An Evil Angel release does well but not as much as you may think any longer, and that content is released on the web now, very shortly after the initial release. As websites are our bread and butter, we prefer to release our scenes on the web first and then take the best scenes to make a DVD to try and get either DVD sales market or VOD sales, for people uninterested in website memberships to help recoup some of the outlay.

It's only compilations of old material (and only a few months old at that) because you have seen the scenes on the site, to most people seeing this DVD, it will be brand new.

It's inpractical to produce many exclusive DVD's in this niche. The cost of a DVD production incl. scenes and getting it to market is about $12-15k before you see a penny in profit, and that's for a basic 5 scene DVD. It can take many months for that DVD to sell and putting it on a website would devalue the content (less sales) and isn't fair to the website members who might buy the DVD first.

Exactly, and I do know the girls you are referring to and it is indeed true. There was one guy that got like three escorts implants a few years ago, in like a 3 month period. Lucky girls, but I can't sell myself to some guy like that. I've posted ads asking for use of luxury houses and such in exchange for money and being able to watch trans porn being made. No real serious responses yet though.

I'm telling you though, with a decent sized studio, hell even a condo etc I could ramp up production 3 fold and start doing unique scenes. There is a lot I have to deal with strictly filming in hotel suites. The huge expense alone, for example, filming in the locations I use in DC/Philly/Bmore runs me $400/night as I don't film in just any old hotel, I use luxury suites. I can generally keep cost lower by having models come to me and filming in my go to location Residence Inn which is only $200/night but to actually make a profit, at any location I use, I have to pack the rafters. Which is to say, I pull all nighters filming 3-4 girls back to back. Add in the fact that we can't get started until check in time 3pm and that each shoot takes any where from 2-4hrs for a solo (less for a hardcore), and by the time I'm done, it's check out time. This is the reason that I disappear from net after shoots, after filming and being up for 24hrs on my feet bent over to be at model eye level, I'm insanely exhausted.

No offense taken, Seanchai. I mentioned in the opening post that I may not know the entire dynamic of the porn production industry, so my words are mere speculation. I guess I was just expressing how I feel about it. I'm from the old school, Seanchai. I've been watching porn way before the whole internet phenomena was created. So I guess I'm used to holding the porn in my hand and placing it inside the VCR/DVD player myself. I don't know, I feel cheated when I see porn online from a website, I feel restricted. You know, it's easier to jack while holding a remote as opposed to fidgiting with the keys on a keyboard. :D lol!
