It looks like Craigslist erotic services section is on life support. The usual 75+ daily ads have fell down to only 6-8 ads daily now. It seems CL has threw a curve ball to our tgirls. Just by charging $5 and HINTING at the idea of tracing email/phone activity has all but ruined the online escort game on that end. I think things will return to pre-CL era where you could only find girls on Eros. Good for some, bad for others. Depending on your point of view.

What do yall think about to demise of CL erotic ads?

It doesnt bother as I dont play the escort game. However there are other sites similar to Craigslist like backpages which is on the rise. This whole situation is similiar to night clubs when one closes another opens, or a lesser known becomes popular.

Craigslist had become a lightning rod for the cyber-age hookers, and it looks like they’ve been burned to a crisp! Talk about killing the Golden Goose, but we all knew it was going to happen! It was just like the stroll we had here in Detroit. The girls had a perfect strolling area, but they had to do their business in the surrounding neighborhoods and the homeowners didn’t like sweeping up condoms the next morning. Now Craigslist is the exact doppelganger of that stroll here. Whereas you might find four to five girls for whole night, now, when it used to be close to fifty to sixty on each night of the weekend; you can't find three or four girls a day on Craigslist! Sign of the times, I guess!

yea my local CL has become deserted as well, I do still see some of the "out of town" chicks on there, but the locals, the fake pic posters and the multi-ad posters are gone...LOL, I guess u will start seeing some of BTG stars on the stroll again soon...

I don't know guys the t-girls are still pumping on craigslist in the New York area. Plenty of ladies to choose from.

Not a great loss...I browsed from time to time, but rarely made any cold calls anyways. Not a bad thing to get rid of the multi-posters/fake posters anyways. Legit posts for the most part will still be around.

I agree with Kila though, there will be other sites. Backpage.com has been around for awhile and most cities have a "TS" category now. Some don't. Either way, depending on the city, it's been the closest rival to CL I've seen. I expect they will increase requirements too...and then there will be another site/avenue....it's a fluid situation. LOL

Also agree with Smuzik. Demise of CL could potentially drive some back out to the strolls. Probably not to the "old days" numbers, but definitely see it happening. Probably not a whole lot more...but a temp spike maybe....

I've been gone for awhile so I miss the escorts page that use to be here....but I used Craigslist alot when traveling. It was nothing like the old escort list because the photo's you always knew what you were getting....Craigslist was not near as good....but it was then next best thing.....It is going to make it harder to hook up when traveling around.......

Even the NYC CL has taken a hit. It may have 30 post a day still, but thats a sharp cut from the 100+ it was having. So the difference is about the same.

not really that much of a change all it does is keep down the people that post multiple ads per day since now they have to paid for each of them they post so really it cleans up the constant bombardment of the same people posting over and over again

That's the same thing that happen here in Baltimore. The stroll used to be jumping with girls. The housing boom of early 2000 and gentrification cause the police to aggressively target the "girls".
It drop off for a while, but seems to be coming back.
It's not the same as before.
