For many trans women, the feeling of being in the wrong body does start as a child. That doesn't mean that they are in a situation that allows them to start their transition as a child though. There are a great many personal factors that go into when a person starts their transition, and none of them revolve around "the hustle". So, you are wrong.

That might be the case with regards to girls continuously going back and forth in some. For others, their de-transitioning is far more complicated and once they do they usually stay de-transitioned.

How do you know they transitioned simply because being gay didn't work out so well for them? I don't think you realize how much less struggle the typical gay person goes through compared to a trans woman. I could sit here and say that men that specifically look to hook up with trans women are really looking for dick they can play around with without seeming 'gay' and care less about the actual person other than them being 'cool', but that would be wrong too.
