The photogs (this is, by no means, a knock on them) are doing all of the orchestrating as of late on the videos. How about a segment of the girls giving their say so, start to finish? A skit, if you will. Most of them aspire to porn stars, right? So why not give them a chance to put their acting abilities to work? Say, posting on a girls set, such as is done with the “girl of the month” designation, e.g., this model is going to give her point of view?
Let the video start with them giving an introduction; tell the viewer what they like to do personally, like their leisure time, etc., make suggestions of what they like sexually, so on and so on. I think it would let the viewers feel them a little bit! It would take the videos beyond the conservative approach of the slow striptease, baby oil application and a cum-shot or no cum-shot ending. If a blow job happens in between, then so be it! I think this would break up the photogs making on video suggestions and cut down on lengthy, silent tedium. All it would take is a little pre-production work. What do yall think?

Good point. This is exactly how I run my shoots ^. I think yall would hate it if I went "artsy fartsy" or let the girls control their shoots. We shoot a lot of new talent and some of the girls dont always work with the same photographer. So they are depending on our direction.

Alright, to elaborate a little more; how would it be if you ‘heard’ Francis Ford Coppola say to Marlon Brandon, while the camera is rolling: “Pick up the cat, stroke it and say, I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse”? Of course you wouldn't hear that because it done during pre-production.
It’s not like you haven’t been doing this for the last five months, everyone is aware of that, but I mentioned that this would a segment like “girl of the month” or such as that, whereas a girl would give her POV, that’s all! Your questions are relevant; my suggestion was, and maybe I didn’t make it that clear; let the girl speak without being spoken to by the director! However, as far as the girls not having a prospective of being a porn star, well they will use that premise in their eros, craigslist and other ads to promote themselves. I’ve seen more than a few t-girl ads where they use this site and other grooby sites, quite generously. Contrary to what you might think, it is a stepping stone and resume builder for them. But to break it down, have the video spot look like this: One particular girl would be highlighted as the girl who is going to give her personal viewpoint of life, love, sex and her aspirations. I realize it couldn’t or might not be every month, but it would be worth a try. I’m not trying to operate your Farris wheel, but in the past you’ve ask for suggestions, I just gave you mine. Marlon Brando read the script a few times, learned his lines, had converations with the actors and actresses and I am sure wit hMr. Coppola, who MAY HAVE in fact instructed him to at some point pick up the cat, stroke it and utter the famous line. The reason you don't see that on sscreen is that it is a film... Not an episiode of Who's Line Is It Anyway?.. I consider film like Classical music, where 99% of the outcome is EXPECTED because of the script... I consider a shoot like the ones on this website like Jazz music, where at least 90% is improvised, because in all reality, not many people buy the acting bit when the person in the position of doing the acting is not about ACTING.. they are about (I am not saying all of them) pleasing the audience, no matter what it takes... It's not about realism or drama, it's about sex and sex appeal... If they are, as I said, like Katie Coxx, Victoria Porche, London, you know... the extroverted girls who are super into doing that sort of thing, let them do their thing, BY ALL MEANS!!! I think those results are sure to be amazing.. but to try to coax the same type of performance from say Andrea, who incidentally is hot as fuck and blew a RIDICULOUS load last week, would probably not work.. Ironically, it was just a proposal to the photogs, not a treatise of Cinema Direction: 101! I didn't want to turn this into a pissing contest! I respect Dirty South’s expertise and professionalism of what he does more than anyone on this board! I’ve written numerous replies of how I enjoy his work. I have never got into critiques of what he should or shouldn’t do since he’s been with BTG! I made the ego remark in jest (note, the smiling face), I think I'm beyond hating anyone because they possess certain skills or abilities. He asked me in a general manner and I responded in kind. The way you responded to my post as if you were Luca Brazzi, ready to bust my knuckles because I made a suggestion to a guy you just praised! I say to you again, it was just a suggestion!
The photographer asked me to elaborate on my suggestion and I did that to best of my ability. I had an idea of what I wanted to convey and I think I spelled it out simply enough that everyone could understand it! Its not as easy as you assume it to be. Even the seasoned girls need direction. No matter how much off camera coaching, some girls are not going to be comfortable answering questions, let alone do a monologue about themselves. We try our best to make our presence unoticeable but when a model keeps messing up on lines or misreads our hand signals, it makes for the dear in the head lights look and stalls the flow of the shoot. It is quite possible but I personally dont feel like being held up in a location trying to get a model to repeat a script correctly. I've tried my hand at it before and its just not my style.

I agree and trust me, I hate quiet videos and I urge my models to talk. At the end of the day, most of these girls have done less than 2 or 3 shoots. We have a combination of professional girls and amateurs. Some girls are going to be better than others and there is not much you or I can do about it. If you put Jade, Katie, etc. in front of any photographer, they will perform. They are naturals. Some girls just cant do it as well no matter who is directing them.

Victoria Porshe was VERY quiet in her first shoot in 2007. She was very shy and it was all new to her. When she got into her second shoot, everything was on auto pilot and she performed GREAT with very little direction or quiet moments. It wasnt that I did any better, its because she improved. It all boils down to the model and her confidence. You dont like her performance, bitch at her, not us.

As an explanation from one of the photographers about my original post, of an idea to take the, ahem, boredom out of the videos, I was given a surgical breakdown of why my suggestion was not applicable, because it would involve a little work and all of the girls are not the same, and we all have to be satisfied with the tediousness of the contemporary shoots; it was not his style! His style, what are WE paying for the changing of his avatars? I mentioned in my post that it wasn’t a knock on any of the photogs! All of a sudden, he’s Atlas, taking on the weight of all the photographers on BTG! It wasn’t about him in the first place! Nevertheless, I asked at the end of my post what do the other members think? And lo and behold, there were some replies! They never mentioned his STYLE! He can't please everyone! Its all about him! But he's really saying he's not going to please me, TVSurfer! That's what his whole retort was about in the first place!
However, if my memory serves me correct, back on November 21, 2008, members were asked by the polling photographer: “I couldn’t figure out how to add a poll to the Better Videos Post so please take some time out to add what you would like to see in our videos in the future. If I miss anything, just add it in your response. You keep repeating the solution to your concerns. It was the model, not him. If a girl is just not camera friendly, there IS NO AMOUNT of directing that can make her speak up and work the camera. Come to Atlanta and I will love to invite you to sit and and see what what really goes on behind the scenes. Until then, this sounds like the fan sitting in the stands yelling that he could do a better job on the field than McNabb. Its harder and more complex than you think. There was a thread last year about better videos and you just said you didnt bother to comment then. Now, it comes up in a thread where someone is showing their appreciation for a hot scene.....but some of you can't resist the urge to turn this into a complaint thread.

Some of these girls just arent going to speak up and excel, no matter how much you poke them. Some do. THATS WHAT SEPERATES THE STARS FROM THE UNKNOWNS, PEOPLE. The ones that can excel under direction or not are the ones you see everywhere (i.e. Jessica Host, Jade, Natassia Dream) The ones who dont will forever have a complaint tagged to their work. It's more on the model than the tog. There is only so much directing we can do before the model has to take the torch and make it a hot scene.

Last point....The few times I have pushed a girl to takeover and tell about their personal matters (i.e. love life, aspirations), it turned out to be a disaster. You DO NOT want to hear the truth and most girls (believe it or not) do not feel comfortable with a script.

Unless you've worked a number of shoots you really have no idea how difficult it can be simply to get a girl to pull a natural pose. You may think they want to be porn stars, they may think they want to be porn stars - but very few of them have that potential.

We could easily make our job less hassle by hiring the same tried and tested models week after week, the models that we know turn up, perform, can do hardcore to a script, can use their own experiences to improve the shoot, etc. but I think this site would become stale very quickly.

As much as we like those tested models, getting the brand new girls is also a major factor in the success of this site and with brand new girls, comes a different risk and scenario with everyone of them.

As much as a member might want to add his comments about how he wants the shoots to be and as much as we ask for that feedback and try to adapt our ethos to it, should enough members want it, some things simply aren't credible.

Currently, BTG is at the peak of all the years we've been open. The photography team is the best we've had, the models we're getting are the best of the new girls as well as the reshoots with the stars and the site is reflecting that in it's redesign and in the feedback from the members (incl. the dollar feedback).

We're always looking to improve but don't get upset if we say, it can't be done.

Since we’re using analogies; in the film The Matrix, when there’s a déjà vu sequence, it was noted as a glitch; it means something was changed. My suggestion is being taken as a problem; an anomaly, hitch or hiccup! However, once the Big Kahoona chimed in, I knew my where this was going; no one is going to beat up his money maker!

Retrospectively, I am sorry I sparked such a controversial note with my post.. I was just trying to compliment who I admire as a superb maker of the type of film I believe this site would thrive on...

I enjoy many of the other photographers shoots, but ALL of Dirty's. He seems to have some formula that just works.... Not the sequences and all, but the vibe of the shoot itself...

I didn't mean for it to turn into a monster debate... I am sorry TVSurfer, if I said anything that offended you or your sensibilities. It was not my intention.

what did I miss here. this is one of most interesting threads i’ve read in a while. anyway, dirty south. yeah, you did a great shoot with victoria but If i may -suggest some advice, if the girl is going to bust on the bed and not themselves, I would advise you and others to use dark color sheets on the beds preferable silk sheets, VP cum shot was incredible, from the distance it travel to velocity it came out to the amount of load. it got me very excited, thereafter as the camera drifts slowly toward her load, its hard to get an overall feeling of her immense cum shot. actually it was a little disappointing and kind of defeats the purpose. white sheets just dose not do justice like black ones ,not to sound racial. lol. just look at andrea cum shot a week ago or so, after she bust an enormous load onto herself, in the midst of her golden brown complexion, one could see all of her load from the largest chunks to the littlest spots. scene went from A to an A+. imo after the cum shot has ended its just more rewarding to see the loads visibly, I just didn’t get that feeling with VP ,but please don’t take offense it still was one hell of a scene

I never said he didn't have the right to post them, or not to have them taken seriously. I read everything and take it seriously (find another tgirl site which let's you do this) but the customer is not always right, sometimes they're wrong. If you want a website and a website owner whose going to kowtow to you, just to get your dollar and lie, stating they will make the changes while continuing to take your membership, then your at the wrong place. There are plenty of sites out there willing to take your cash and promise you anything.

I've been a member on & off since the beginning, and I think there's been a resurgence in the past couple years with the addition of DS and Remy. I also appreciate their moderation and discussion on the forum, which has improved the quality here too.

As for the video content, I think they have about the right amount of girl talk. You don't want too much of that in a porn clip, IMHO (and we all are entitled to our opinions, I'm sure). If a girl wants to make a long philosophical speech, fine: posting it on youtube and provide a link from this forum would be one way. Or just discuss it on the forum. Thank you too. I know your initial hopes for this thread was to show appreciation. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just thought this wasn't the thread, or time, to do so. If I saw a thread congratulating Remy, Tony, PK, etc. on their good work, I don't think its time to chime in on how they should be better. It's kind of demoralizing.

Again... I agree with pretty much everything Dirty, SeanChai and Tony Vee have to say.... Ironically, they are the most seasoned pros in this arena (at least that have taken the time to post on this thread)....
