ok, so i have noticed a few craigslist.org ads popping up on this site recently. i want to just make a general comment on a fad ive seen girls doing recently. i am not sure where they are getting their legal advice from but please be clear, there is NO Disclaimer that u can put on the bottom of your ad that will absolve u from being charged with prostitution. the fact is that if u advertise your self in a manner or pattern consistent with prostitution, and an official alleges such has or was in the process of occuring they only need to be within reasonable doubt, not beyond reasonable doubt for a charge and/or conviction. there are clever ways to skate around the issue but this is not one of them...

While we are discussing CL stuff. I really don't understand the ads that say the crap about- Money being for time spent only, and please don't call to discuss sex or anything else. WTF, it's like ok they say read the ad before calling the ad tells you not to calling talking about it. Then WTF am i calling you for then, and if i can't ask you about what it is that we will be doing I'm guessing you could take my money and act like you didn't know why i gave you the dough.

We all know I have been around a good minute its still funny to me too that girls think a cop has to tell you he's a cop on the fone or at the door too if you ask. Lying is permitted to make the bust.

The girls will have to step-up their game; a disclaimer is one level up from just escorting and asking if someone’s a cop from the front seat of a car. Read the disclaimers. This is the survival mechanisms at work!
We should ask if disclaimers are good or bad; we should be debating why this is happening? Because if you think they are absurd, or beneficial, we can get to the root of these conditions through a lively pro and con debate. This site has a disclaimer. Has anybody read it?
Let’s talk about disclaimers and t-girls!

Thats sad & ****'d up.
Up here prostitution is not illegal. The cops cannot arrest anyone for it.
It is only illegal to solict in public places. Newspaper, telephone & the internet are deemed private, and therefore hands off..
I just think it so petty for the police to conduct big productions to nab a few sex trade workers & custies...

It's all bullshit, the few girls that really know how to operate their escort business legally know the disclaimer aint shit. They'll let the other less informed girls think it gives them a 'Get Out Of Jail' card, so the 'less informed' escorts can be caught slipping and thus, less competition for them to worry about. Many of these girls are just waking up to the internet within the last year or two and still work as if they are on the stroll.

To be safe though, it doesn't hurt that they put up there that money is for time spent and not sex. It comes down to what actually happens when they meet up though, which I suspect is when the girls are actually caught 'slipping'.

I do agree that in general it's a waste of time and money to attack the sex trade workers to this extent. However; with the gross amount of human trafficking going on I can't say it's not warranted. Here in Hampton Roads Va, we have one of the Major US Shipping ports. We have lots of Eastern European strippers in our 'Go-Go' bars as well as lots of Asians and Hispanics. From my days driving cabs, I had the explicit feelings that some shady practices were going down with a lot of these girls, sadly. Some would tell me about how the came here, working on a cruise line like Disney and then just never returned to ship. They have a guy in the Va Beach area who puts them up and they work for him, so I heard. This was with the Russians specifically though. I imagine there's similar stories going about.

I hear you Remy about the human trafficing bit, but to me it seem like arresting women in the sex trade is counter-productive.
On one extreme it like arresting somebody who is selling their body due to lack of opportunities/drug addiction/explotation jamming them up with fines, legal fee and possibly jail is just making their bad situation worse. It kicking them while their down.
On the other hand, if somebodies selling, and somebodies buying and nobodies getting hurt, who the **** cares?
Get some return on your tax dollars by having the police chase the real bad guys..
As for disclaimers and T-girls, how about: "____ size advertised is gross exageration that does not reflect actual size of said _____, or imply or guarantee actual _____ will be able to perform in manner actually advertized"

Please don't get my personal beliefs confused with company policy. lol I most often speak for myself. My views on a lot of matters tend to be 'off' from what is socially acceptable so never take what I say as company policy unless I state so. I'm too weird of a person to be the spokesman. (example: I am not a fan of 'organized religions', the company has no problem with any religions).

I haven't looked at the disclaimer to the site in quite some time, but I would hazard a guess that it pertains to keeping underage individuals off the site and that all models are of legal age, which ARE things I agree with. Do you really need me to go through each of the points of the disclaimer, as I didn't plan on actually looking at it at the moment. You are a smart guy, I'm sure you know the difference and importance of the site's disclaimer.

Remy, Remy; you were infering disclaimers were BS I asked you, more or less, why does grooby have a disclaimer if they are BS? It doesn't have anything to do with you if; you haven't read it or know what they are for. You put your own opinion in the mix, but you didn't explain why, since you injected bull-shit into the frey! What's wrong with a disclaimer? Why does this company exact a disclaimer? Why does anyone or a company use a disclaimer, Remy?

Ok, well then, I should have been more clear in my initial statement. I was not referring to all disclaimers, simply those on the escort ads. Trust, after my run-in with those 'Pre-paid Legal Service' blokes I started to pay very close attention to the 'disclaimers'. lol Damn Pryamid Schemes!

Any company would use a disclaimer as a legal document renouncing responsilibity for a thing or act; and/or to state that there may be limitations of a right given from seller to buyer. :) Basically to cover a company ass legally from the vast majority of Americans looking for a 'get rich quick scheme' by sueing the company claiming they didn't know what they were in for or whatever reason they might come up with. lol sheesh, now I'm off to my movie lol j/k

a disclaimer on a CL ad wouldn't hold any legal precedence but in theory, stating donations are for time spent would absolve any reasonable doubt of prostitution in a legal sense as far as the ad itself goes (except for the picture of the girl with her dick on show). A legal practioner could then argue this to an extent but then obviously when said girl exchanges money for sex she fucked anyway.

An interesting question though... The cop which replies to this ad then goes to meet the T girl to catch her in the act of soliciting would he let her suck his dick I wonder? I think so! or even better maybe he will suck hers!

If The police want you they are going to get you there is nothing you can say or do to avoid be arrested! Now, in court the way the situation went may determine if you may beat the charge or not. Lucky me the one and only time i got caught they let me go because i didnt have any warrants and It was so funny they we so nice we talked like a hour and they had a camera to take pics of your face and case number, well they were so stuck on how I looked they took pics standing with me, and for the first and only time I signed a autograph! It was fun lol

Here in Richmond, VA in order to post on CL you have to pay a fee. They did this so that it is easier to catch people soliciting prostitution. I honestly can say it has helped filter out the bad apples but they're still some girls that dont know how to post an ad. In Richmond the girls were going around setting people up, and who knows what else. The news made a big thing of it and spotlighted CL. All I can say from personal experience is, you have to know the laws, and the lupolls; and you have to make sure you always cover your ass. Cuz a little disclaimer at the end of the ad doesnt mean much of anything.
