That's one of those shows I just can't watch... like Ronin Warriors. Loved it as a kid, but can't watch it now. Sailor Moon however... >_>
ah you haven't even given it a shot yet. It just aired today, totally new and modern for the times... To be honest, I haven't watched it yet either, but I'm hoping I will like it.

You know I'm a pessimist. It's why I rarely meet with disappointment. Low expectations means you're never let down. Gyahahaha!
lol So, before you asked about horror movies. I couldn't remember the name, but it did come to me a couple days ago. I thought the movie Insidious was pretty good. Not going to give you nightmares or anything, but good nonetheless.
I just remembered to bring it up here, as I've queued up Scream 4 and Priest for later viewing...

I just noticed this. >.> But, as far as I'm concerned if I'm not doing something I enjoy or at least working toward that, then whatever I'm doing is a waste.
As for movies, Insidious is an interesting title. I was considering getting Scream 4 since Monica wants to watch it, so let me know how that is and whether or not I should spend time downloading it.
Ok, well based on your previous statements regarding horror movies, I don't think you'll like Scream 4. In fact, I think at worst, watching it may cause you to go on a killing spree. lol Your disdain for characters lack of logical thinking will leave you, at best, wanting to throw something at the tv. So, after hitting play, give the remote control to one of the girls. :)
I actually enjoyed watching Scream 4. Especially on account of all the actors/actresses from various tv shows that I watch that got killed in the movie. I feel, when watching the horror genre and the slasher sub genre in particular, you have to just enjoy it for what it is. Not what you would do in their situation, which would likely be way more logical than what happens on screen.
Now, I'm going to lower my expectations just a little bit more than I did for Scream 4 and see how this "Priest" movie goes. :)

I'll give it a once over and try to enjoy what happens. Truth be told Halloween was the only series that I was ever able to do that with because the way Micheal Meyers himself goes about things is generally much smarter than anyone else. He's a damn hunter. And also Donald Pleasance's performance always intrigues and amuses me. Dr. Loomis had no problem blowing away a little girl and frankly... after 3 movies ( 1,2 and 4, for some reason they skipped three. >_> ) I understand.
*nods* I was always intrigued by the Halloween series as well. I like 'dark' stuff, also, Hell-raiser series, there is nothing Clive Barker does that I don't like. Seriously, watch one of his latest films "Midnight Meat Train". Also, Spit On Your Grave, which is great movie I think you will appreciate more than most slasher films.

I hope so... 'cause I sure as hell didn't appreciate Scream 4 at all... I mean, even if I set aside my " What I would do " attitude it's still quite bad. Not as bad as some movies I've seen, but just as bad as the 3rd movie or worse. Like seriously... no one is getting up after 10,000 volts to the brain... No one. That was almost a salvaging moment for me.
Yeah well, I knew you wouldn't like it lol. At least no one was harmed in your viewing of that film. :p Ummm absolutely do NOT watch Priest either lol though I stand by my earlier sentiments regarding Midnight Meat Train and Spit on Your Grave.

I believe I was either playing Rusty Hearts, or just laying there with someone when I watched it. Which would be why no one was maimed or killed because of that movie... Also the fact that I didn't pay to see it helped. You know they never did explain why Dewey lost that limp...
lol Well then, another good example of making love and not war :D
Well the universal "Movie Magic" excuse should always be used. Also, we can imagine that his wife lucrative book/movie fees allowed him to have nerve regenerative stem cell surgery that corrected the issue, performed not in the US of course as our bible toting citizens want nothing to do with logical and practical stem cell research. :p

Yeah, that'll make anything bearable. Hell she even agreed with me, in fact I think she said it before I did which shocked me... But she did wanna watch it again. And I can identify with the desire to watch bad movies, so I might go along with it. I've watched that god awful Tiger Street any number of times just because it was so bad it was hilarious.
Logic is the new witch craft. Unfortunately most people using logic know how to defend themselves quite well, so stake burnings are scarce if at all applied.
New Wolverine and Iron Man anime that's just started airing. Compared with the recent cartoons that Marvel have released, which in my opinion were too kiddy, these are pretty cool indeed.

Finally coming around to liking falling skies thanks to on demand
Big fan of alphas on syfy
Yep, I've been enjoying Falling Skies, and Alphas too! Especially the most recent episodes of each. I'm big fan of Thunder Cats too, which goes without saying as I love felines and the concept of Cat People will always be a favorite for me. :)

Oh god... KFC... green poop... @___@
lol Aww, come on, Growth Hormone injected chicken is excellent and nothing could ever be wrong with it. Oh wait, what am I talking about KFC only uses Free Range chickens... Okay, that was a hopeful dream that won't ever come true, as it's not good for KFC profit margins. Hooray for capitalism where the consumers health and well being is irrelevant, and only the investors and stock holders pockets matter.

I was taken out on a date last night with a beautiful and young mix Chinese lady (GG). She took me to Outback, which she use to be a waitress at. The food was ok, but not enough for me to want to return, though I will admit the lamb was cooked to perfection and not a usual menu item at the places I go to.

actually send to remy@grooby.com I have been sitting around trying to see what is going on at Va Tech, but I really need to get the Katana over to the shop for some minor and hopefully quick work and running behind. Email I can respond to on the road, but I don't like viewing this site from iPhone as I get logged out before I can hit 'send' on message which is a pain.

That made me picture you texting while on a motorcycle... Which would be bad ass. >_>
lol Dude, You must not realize how slim and frail I am. The thought of me text-ing while riding is as irresponsible as staring at the sun :) On motorcycles, you really have to be watching everything! Another reason why I'm not a fan of big group riding, if one goes down, many will follow. Apparently, girls riding motorcycles and not being passengers is pretty bad ass in itself. Heads always turn, which is kind of cute.

Wow, new game on Live Arcade "From Dust" is extremely awesome.
You are basically God controlling the environment instead of the actual people and causing/preventing natural disasters on this primitive planet. Requires a serious amount of strategy to keep the tribes alive. Within the first 10 minutes I think I caused the biggest natural disaster, with a massive tsunami on one end and a fiery Volcano spewing liquid death on the other. Very intuitive controls and extremely high fidelity graphics. The game cost 1200 Microsoft Points and there is of course the free demo. Give 'er a go, you'll enjoy it.

Well, I mean... clearly in the fantasy you do it as efficiently as a ninja. >_> I mean, in real life it'd just be plain stupid. Gimme a little credit.
Also I don't have any idea how slim and frail you are. I never really got a look at you beyond head and shoulders. Kinda hard to tell really.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally helpless. As a frame of reference, I'm taller than M, and just a little thicker but really close to same body type as M.

Not the greatest movie I've ever seen, but be damned if I wasn't rooting for the Apes to take over the world.
I would have liked the movie better with less time being spent on the research of what makes the Apes smarter. Nothing new there, stupid and greedy humans fucking with mother nature in their quest for financial gain. More time should have been spent with them taking over human civilization, and how they form their own civilization. As much as I like James Franco, (Milk anyone!?!) the human actors performances felt phoned in. The highlights of the movie are all the Ape action sequences, which there are many, but just shy of being 'enough'. Also, there were some cool Easter Eggs, in the movie "Lost in Space" that made me smile from ear to ear and reminded me of the Easter Eggs Marvel is wont to drop in their films
It almost pains me to say this as I am a huge Tim Burton fan, but this was better than the remake. Though now, I feel like buying that and watching again to see if this franchise does have some legs for more movies down the line, because I gotta say, I do enjoy the Planet of The Apes universe they've created and brought forth to the modern times. Better than some of the recent Aliens taking over the world movies.

I wanted to say Rest In Peace to all those soldiers whose lives have been lost, in particular in this recent helicopter crash. It hit our Va Beach area particularly hard as many of them were stationed at our base here. To all the armed forces though, we thank you for your tireless efforts.

Tall chicks are hot. There was this chick when I was in college who had to be at least 6'5'' if she weren't so dumb, and most assuredly not into guys shorter than her... I would have... gazed awkwardly far more often...
Ironically though... Planet of The Apes doesn't indicate any great change since... humans are classified as great apes. >_> It's pretty much just like calling it " Planet. "
Very good point!!! I'm glad you said as much, as people also always feel the need to separate themselves from "animals" in general. There was a point in the movie, where a particularly nasty guy says "get your filthy ape hands off of me" or some such. I was thinking, dude you are the one sweating and covered in dirt, apes spend copious time grooming themselves and is likely far cleaner than him.
It actually represents the fact that humans like to feel superior because of our intellect, but given just a slight boost to the other apes and they clearly stand stronger and better suited to survival compared to humans.

The intellect of man has indeed set it apart from the animals. But at the same time, it has set it apart from nature as well. As I sit here on this laptop inside this cramped basement apartment from where I cannot see the sky, I wonder just what the cro-magnon man would think, could he think, of the way we live today... And then, having said cro... I want to go watch Cro. >__>
Is it man's nature to be violent? To subdue all that is around him including his brethren? To treat his mate not as an equal, but as an object? Even if man were to one day reach the utopia he so often seeks... would he then seek to control it? Is it possible at all for man to find peace of mind or to grant it to others? Or is man's peace of mind within the lack of peace within the world...?
Stupid brain... shut up!!! .....
There we go...
