Escort vs. Prostitute

Escort is a promotion from prostitute.

Escort offers more services

Prostitute is usually just straight up fucking and dick suckin/quick ways to get your rocks off.

Prostitutes streetwalk.

Escorts seem to branch out and offer there services in other areas ex: online, at the club, etc...)

Escorts have "clients"

Prostitutes have "johns"

Escorts usually "advertise" based on beauty or fantasy

Prostitutes usually throw the tightest shit they can on and hope you stop to "speak"

Just my opinion LOL

But its all the same really no matter how you market it.

Good points made. I think it's safe to say it's one in the same. Aside from the supposed quality of service, it's the same thing.

You can hold the word "ESCORT" up as high as you want, but it's only a ,user friendly way, of referring to someone who is offering sexual services and other services for a fee. Or a "Donation". It is what it is. No one wants to be called or calls themselves a prostitute. "Escort" sounds a lot more civilized. LOL. Of course there is always instances where the Escort is only asked to go to social events, that's a given. But we all know, the bottom line motive for all advertising by an Escort, is SEX. If they don't have to perform anything sexual, the better for it. Sex sells. Always will.

You are right, but how many escorts do you know with a license? I think it's illegal in Fulton County (Atlanta) but you have to be screened along with a valid HIV test. The outskirts are more strict, especially on enforcing the law.

Thats exactly my point. By labeling it as escort, you go into a more gray area of law enforcement and they choose or choose not to pursue it. It's all bs... it should all be legal and regulated.

Keep in mind:::the girls have been busted no matter what they say they are.
The term 'ESCORT" doesn't give you a pass with "Dick Tracy" when his "back-up boys" come into the room, go thru the girls purse, and confiscates all the money they may have made and so foolishly, not deposited. You have to go back to the court to get it back. Most will not bother. Ask any that have been busted.

True to some degree, but, at least in Chicago, they screw with the "visiting" escorts more to just shake them down (and I would bet the city never sees that money). Girls on the stroll get harassed A HELL OF A LOT MORE. There is virtually no stroll in most cities anymore because of this. The cops only care about it when its out in the open affecting property values and getting old ladies up in arms. Thats the real difference between escort and prostitute.

Legal and regulated = Taxed.

How many escorts out there you think will pay taxes on their profits? Slim to none, which is why it's illegal for the most part.

I think the answer is more than the number of escorts who pay taxes now. In other words, the reason its not legal isn't because they wouldn't pay taxes. Estimates say we are missing out on $54 billion in tax revenue from prostitution. That is based on what I think is a low estimate of 1.2 million illegal prostitutes in the US. If only a third paid taxes, that's still over $17 billion. The real reasons are 1) feminists feel it is degrading to women despite it making a way for under-educated women to move up if they do it right and 2) religious conservatives don't want to see people paying for sex. It's just that simple. ;)
