Make your own impressions, unfortuantely you can't any longer at Blue Moon but that club and Cobra when Buddy promoted it were the most inclusive TS clubs I've ever been at, with far less clique's then anywhere else. Let me restate myself yet again

I do intend on going to them, but i wish most clubs/parties that i've seen didn't have an undercurrent of the sex industry. Look sean i dont really know how much clearer to put it. My cis girlfriends would probably never go to a party thrown by Brazzers or other porn companies.

The point i'm making is on paper if i could choose a party produced by a porn company that states that its stars are going to be in attendance (which ultimatley means their fans will be too) or just a party thrown for tgirls to have fun, i'd choose the later. That's alll i'm saying. I'll probably still head into the clubs that you produce and form my own opinion, but -i'd personally- rather go to somewhere the industry isn't influencing because i can assure you that the competition is going to be a lot less intense.

Let me restate myself as despite making myself perfectly clear, you are choosing not to understand.

Form your own opinions - just because a porn company sponsors a nightclub night and lots of tgirls SOME of whom happen to be a pornstars, turn up with other tgirls specifically to have FUN then it doesn't make it any different from any of the other party/bar nights. If you think that the fans of the pornstars that go to these nights are going to be treating you any different from guys that go to any other tgirl club (and are interested in tgirls) then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

It doesn't always have to an argument, it doesn't always have to be black and white and you don't always have to have the last word.

You're being hostile. You're taking it personally. I'm simply stating that i'd rather go to a party without that element than i would with that element. That's not a personal attack or a preconcieved notion. Again my cisgendered girlfriends wouldn't go to a party/club sponsored by Brazzers.

It's fascinating to me that you act like these clubs don't have this element in them. Interesting how most of the people i've spoken to who have attended these clubs haven't felt that way. I'm more than willing to make up my own mind and change my opinion, which for now the 3rd time i plan on attempting. However, going to a porn release party vs. going to a release party for Gunhill Road im gonna pick Gunhill Road.

Im going to the GunHill Road party!!! I don't ever see myself attending Porn events like AVN/Urban X whatever...

I also have a thing about not going places, where people I don't want to be around will be at. I have to admit, I will never be a fan of LA in general though so that's always somewhere I shall avoid. 12/12/12 is around the corner too, fuck that shit, just hoping San Fran survives any of Mothers wrath.

Ok Kitty,

Its been a while since I've been in LA, but I knew of a few 'less competitive' places you could go to. There was a neighborhood type bar @Santa Monica and Western call The Blacklite. Dont know if its still open. Also I believe the Frolic III was also a T-bar. Maybe u should start off in that setting before u venture out into the club scene. I'm sure theres more places around like the 2 I mentioned, maybe Seanchai or Remy can point u in the right direction.

Just wondering, what does an indie film have to do with this discussion? Btw, A friend of mine met the director of that film and said he was a jerk, so I doubt I'll be supporting the film. I'm just sayin.

Club Tranzit recently held a release party for Gun Hill road. I'd rather be in a crowd of people who are supporting a movie like Gun Hill Road than I would a porn party. Simply put. Sure im in the industry, but my involvement ends when i shut my webcam off, simply put.

Oh and as a film student I can tell you most people who work in film are douche bags. It doesn't really matter to me since i'm used to it. When i want to be entertained, i'll watch a movie like gunhill road. I wont watch a porno. So it only makes sense that when wanting to be entertained, i'd go to a party releasing a film i support over a porn party.


BUt to be real, i feel as though i'd feel exponentially more comfortable at a straight bar than i probably ever would at a trans club. But i wont know til i go. So who knows!! Time will only tell. :)

Because I was a film student also and worked for the BBC and a number of a film companies and still go along to sets. I barely know a douche bag in that industry, most are very nice people.

Sean i wrote a long response to your last comment but let me give you the spark notes version.

The reason you and some men don't get along with me is because I am a hell of a lot smarter than your average 20 year old transsexual. I have a strong opinion and I do not change it unless I am enlightened. I do not have a desperate need for your attention, your acceptance or your support. Therefore, I do not feel the need to pretend as though I agree with everything you do. My comments were not personal attacks yet you responded to me with such hostility I had to assume that you took them as such. Truth is, a secure man and a successful club promoter wouldn't waste his time trying to convince me that what they do is good. They would move on. Well instead you took my comment very personally and decided to attack me and my personality.

Truth is. The TRUTH is that a lot of the times I don't get along with these men on this because they simply cannot stand my strong opinion and my strong personality. They're used to these submissive little girls who are willing to work extra hard to prove that they are worthy and these belligerent delusional chicks who will do anything for a dime. They're used to girls who shut up and take it or take them. Well baby, i'm not like that.

I came into this thread SIMPLY stating that I wish that there were more parties that weren't funded by porn companies. I didn't say parties funded by porn companies were bad or that we shouldn't have them. I'm just saying I wish there were more places where a trans girl could escape the bullshit that the industry puts onto girls.
