Why no Black Tgirls nominated for AVN? Xbiz? Tranny Awards?

I can't believe it's taken until yesterday for someone to notice (on Twitter), I've been waiting since I announced the nominees.
We've got two black photographers nominated for the Tranny Awards.
We've got a black male performer nominated.
We've got a black tgirls solo website (Sweetcheeks).

Where is the love for Best Model, Best New Model, Best Hardcore Performer?
Mia Isabella does feature but it seems like sometimes she's promoted as a black model and other times not. Where are the girls from this site? The Sashas, Paris's, Ambers, Uniques, Kaylas, Chynas, etc, etc.

We had then nominations open for a month on the Tranny Awards and promoted on this site and barely a squeak - we have precedence, Natassia Dreams was the inaugural Best Model Winner in 2008.

Why are no black girls getting pushed forward to Xbiz or AVN? I didn't put any forward as I refuse to nominate for AVN and Xbiz I'd filled up my form with other girls.

Is it that black models aren't getting the same exposure, is it that they don't have PR people or are pushing themselves hard enough to fans on forums and social media? Are we just missing the "stars" that always seemed to be nominated like Natassia, Sexy Jade, etc.?

It's really wierd to me, but after you posted this thread and no responses it seems there fans are a BIG part of the reason why, as there's not a peep on here..

I can only speak for the few black tgirls I know and it seems independently they spend more of there money and time creating there sites and there images then other races with no recognition...

As for as being a photographer I don't dwell too much in the porn world but I do notice some girls who majorly stand out Paris, Sasha, Madison... With content in abundance, usually having more updates then half the girls in the biz...

It's a bewilderment! I know then guys ask why they become hateful and only focus on money because it seems the money is the only thing that CARES

I also think when grooby first brought out Jade & Natassia there was less Stars to choose from and they got a chance to shine were today's Black Tgirl isn't getting the same push from all companies, so we are not seeing there full potential

Let me personally pick up the slack and nominate myself for bestest new model, although I can't imagine it works that way. :p

I'm gonna go out on a limb and cosign with the 2nd post. It seems more or less that the fans just aren't putting their support out there.

i think its an exposure thing...ive been trying forever to break out side of black tgirls to a wider demographic group,looks like it finally might happen for me tho :)

I think more black tgirls need to focus on starring and releasing their own DVD's not only just promoting their website or side hustles. Then I think they would get more nominations. And at the very least I would buy the extra DVD's.

Bingo. Just promoting a website and escorting is seen as trashy, in a way. How do I know this? Because I'm a marketing and branding expert. A lot of them have to learn how to do what they do and make it look classy. Some people may get mad at this comment, but it's the truth.

Nobody releases their own DVD's and if they do they don't get enough exposure to make it worth while. The girls need to be on the front of DVD's released by other companies. The thing is, this did happen this year. We released two black DVD's - one of which is nominated for an award.

You might be a marketing and branding expert in some fields but not for porn. Classy has nothing to do with it - engaging your fans everything.

I advertised for pre-nominations for a month on transsexual fan boards, the Grooby sites, Twitter (@groobysteven), tgflix.com and press released it. The models should have and could have lobbied their fans to get pre-noms in as well as done it themselves and the fans should have simply done some nominations for their favourite models or scenes. They didn't - they were too lazy, they were too complacent or they simply do not have favourites among the models.
This is the same process for AVN and Xbiz - none of the girls are putting themselves out there and none of the fans are pushing models forward. I've nominated black models in the past for shows and they've appeared on the bill (this year I didn't as I had others I wanted to push).

This site has about 50% of the membership of Shemale Yum and an extremely more active forum. Yet only a few dozen people have submitted for Black Tgirls Model of the Year ... when hundreds have submitted for Shemale Yum Model of the Year.
Lazy. Complacent. OR just no real "stars" sticking out?
Nominations for BTG of the Year with the $1000 prize are still being taken.

I'd agree with that. Frankly if it seems like the girls themselves don't care, then why would the fans get worked up over it? Simply put, they won't.

I think there are a multitude of reasons:

Some girls fall into deals with shady webmasters are a tainted by the experience

Some dont really understand the potential of a website; they'll use it for advertising purposes when they go 'on your'. And being that most of them associate with 'like-minded' individuals so no one is there to give them a push

Some are just flat out lazy, scared or both

Finally, some lose fans because of their attitudes. I, for one, have cancelled my membership to a girl's site because of sonething she said

How hard is it?
1. As a site member there is a direct link from the members page - click it and enter the models names.

2. As a forum member send me a PM with a "tranny awards code" message - get the code, click the link and vote. 2 mins.

As I said, lazy and complacent unlike the members of the other site - or you just don't care enough about one model over another.

Werwt22, this is a hilarious statement. The multiple clicks got to be too much. I know I shouldn't laugh but I did.

All I know is I am going to buy both those DVD's, continue to support more black tgirl releases, and that I am going to the Tranny Awards to buy drinks for my favs who were not nominated. But all I want to know is who's coming with me?

Sorry that im not a fanatic. Nothing wrong with supporting the people you idolize/emulate/adore, but I'm just a regular guy. Just commenting from the other end of the spectrum. No matter what you say or how bad you knock me, it doesnt change the reasons for me not "voting". I'm just giving insight to what would help people such as myself be more interactive.

Ditto for me. I actually clicked on the link but then realized I had to ask for a UN & PW and thought, "Too much work!" That said I feel somewhat humbled by Seanchi's post. I profess to be a BTG admirer but don't show that with my actions. Truth be told I probably put more effort into this post than the vote effort. Damn!:cool:

There is a lack of sites that promote Black Tgirls beyond escorting, the ones that promote just adult talent working in the adult industry usually don't have any or few T-girls period.
I tried to get some to join a site that does promoted them as adult talent working in the porn biz (at least 200 of them), with zero results, but it's like pulling teeth trying to get them signed up, so I don't know if they really want the exposure beyond escorting, and lets face it the people that consume porn seem a little different than the ones that use escorts, I'm thinking that people that use TS escorts are more prone to be DL and not to let anyone know about it, with that being said they won't dare promote a porn T-girl openly as a fan as they would a GG
