I wanted to know if your business has been adversley affected by the downturn in the economy and what, if any, measures you've taken to compensate for that loss. Like for those of you who own websites, have you changed your biz model and instead od doing traditional monthly subscriptions of $30, have u tried doing things like $10 dor 10 days? Or if you're an escort and you used to charge $150 for an hour are you now giving $60 for 15 minutes? Just interested in seeing how you all have weathered the storm in your highly specialized industries.

Web wise as an affiliate, business hasnt changed much. I redesigned my website but I would have done that anyway seeing that its a thing I do once a year.

Shooting wise, it has been a pain in the ass. You would think more girls are willing to shoot to compensate for their losses from the prostitution money. Sorta the opposite happened. Most models want YOU, the producer, to compensate for their loss. We could get a girl for a certain price before the economy downturn, now a good majority of them want double. Go figure.

It wont last long though, but $ debates have kept a number of excellent models from appearing or re-appearing recently.

Yah not real surprised...it's that little thing called GREED!! And some degree of fame mixed in.... More more more....it's always going to be that way with some ppl no matter who and no matter what business.

I think that has more to do with "celebrity" than greed...they think they are bigger than what they really are however, as my old boss use to tell me, you're worth what you accept...

Have to find a medium between what ppl are willing to pay and what you will accept. If it's a dignity thing and X is the magic number then so be it, but hell if it don't MAKE dollars....then it don't make sense.

Numbers are down but not drastically so, it's a bit crap that some models try and up their prices where others will work for a fair payment (the same as we usually pay).
We've always had discount and bulk buy options for the sites at http://www.grooby.com/paybymail.html but adding the "Ticket System" was an attempt (successful) to offer people better value for money, while keeping revenues coming in. We've also looked at delivering the content in different formats like http://www.transexdomination.com/vod/ so those wanting to see just one scene, can pay just for that. We will be extending this to different sites soon.

Offering a $10 for 10 days access would be un-sustainable. When you pay your monthly membership ... or a montly one-off, your getting access to all the content ... which you can download as much as you like in 10 days or 30 days. Those who only join for 1 month at a time and then go elsewhere, if given access for $10, would just download faster and the revenue we'd make from it, wouldn't cover the costs for the site or for future shooting budgets.

Agreed. If you're hotel hopping and living on a wing-and-a-prayer, then damn near any fair amount of money for less than half a days work should be fair enough. Some of these girls expect pornstar prices as if they have put in major work like Natassia Dreams or Jessica Host and they may have only done 1 shoot - which wasnt even good at that.
