It is a different experince to be sure. I've stopped going to the 'shows' as hearing the gospel numbers gets soooo draining to me. I also, in general, don't care for lip sync, which the 'shows' tend to be plagued with. I can appreciate a 'cover' of a song, but at least have the courtesy to show your 'own' talent and sing it your way. Many girls can be very entertaining with the dancing and overall production value though. The "shows" tend to feature girls that purposely appear with 'loud' make-up and perhaps overdone facial work, it's not that they are trying to be a mockery, it's just their form of art. That aspect is actually fading as the younger girls take the reins and make 'shows' something of their own. These engagements are one of the few positive gatherings that tgirls have that is all their own, and can be very fun with the right performers. Also worth note, a lot of girls come to support each other so you can slide up on some hot tg's in the audience. In the future I would suggest doing a little research and finding which nights are the best and which performers are the best.
