Being like a woman means what ?

I saw on another thread a comment that people who are a CD or TV have a mindset that "isn't usually that of a woman". I tend to agree with that, and even find that TGirls think more like a guy -- in my admittedly limited set of close contacts.

So it makes me wonder, why is that ? And what does it mean to "think like a woman" ? It seems like women are always the ones putting the brakes on and keeping us grounded, which is probably better for our health and psyche.

Alright, let's see if this thread generates some discussion. As usual, I think I know the answer but want to see what others think.

Well, a person who identifies as cd/tv, isn't trying to be a woman at all, not really. CD/TV (Cross-dressers/Transvestite) dress up in girl clothes simply for the sexual thrills, they don't have a desire to transition, take hormones, have procedures done to help live life as a woman. So I would agree on the point that their "mindset isn't usually that of a woman".

Taking the Proper hormone regiments brings about changes to both the mental and physical aspects of a person. Some of the tg's shun hormones so they can escort, and allow that physical aspect to flourish (i.e. hard cock, creamy nut) so it would also stand to reason that the mental aspect (to a degree) would also remain more testosterone driven.

I agree with what you said, but I'm still laughing at "creamy nut". Sounds like you are describing a candy bar or something.

So, my mates, what do we call those persons that came along like Sexxxy Jade; judging from her first interview from Kilakali's post, "Inside Sexxxy Jade"? She seemed confused as to what she was until she was prodded by her associates into make-up and giving guys blow jobs in the backseat of cars. They told her she was cute and pretty and her head swelled like a balloon without helium. After that she felt she was a woman!? But women put on make-up and give blow jobs in back seats of cars, too! What catagory do they fall in when they are trying to find themselves?
Was Sexxxy Jade a cross-dresser/ transvestite; a gay boy trying to find himself or what? Call me out, but this topic was kicked around about three years ago.
My personal belief is; what we have today is a new trend: "Female Mimics"; gay guys who have found a niche and a newfound way of making money. Ms. Jade’s own testimony bears out the hypothesis.
Kilakali’s tag on his posts asks an interesting question: “Some men need to ask themselves do they really like transwomen, or do they like gay males with alterations?” Because personally, I don’t see these “girls” as “women” or females; they may assume the characteristics of mimicking genetic females, but that’s about all! Being a female, in my opinion is biological with a biological state of mind. If the person has a conflicted biological state of psyche, they are transsexual; there is confusion between the genders.
Some guys make this seem as though this is a five-point shot from the free throw line; in their minds they have the best of both worlds when all it is a foible in the sexual psyche, a fetish to put it specifically.
    That is my take.

I don't know if I'd consider it a new trend, there has always been those that referred to themselves as 'female impresonator' which basically is the same as your 'female mimic' that go around clubs putting on shows and performances making money. Rupaul and Frank Marino come to mind that might be easily recognized.

Thanks for the replies so far.

As most of you realize it's pretty much impossible to make useful generalizations, especially in a short-post format like this forum. But that doesn't stop me from trying !

I think that, in an average sense, women tend to be more conservative when it comes to sex, and tend to associate it more with love and to demand long-term committment if you want to get anywhere with them. There are plenty of men with that attitude, depending on how they've been brought up by their Mom, but then there's more of a tendency to just seek sex for short-term pleasure and not make a big deal out of it. In my admittedly limited observation, TGirls are more on the male end of the spectrum in these tendencies. And then there's a whole range of attitudes and mindset we like to associate as "male" versus "female". That's what I had in mind with the question. Interesting that someone brought up hormones; I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it.

Also I think a lot of TV/CD or "part-time" TGirls (who go around in "boy" mode during daylight hours) may really be TGirls at heart, and hence have more of the female attitude, but simply lack the courage to make the full transition, out of fear of the reaction from the general public, especially if there's not much chance of them being passable.

Had been holding back on a response to see how the replies went.

I do get the sense that there are a fair number of people who transitoned
solely for financial and sexual reasons.

I also feel that there are many transwomen who have the sex drive and
mindset of men, which I think alot of the admirers are into, at least the
    sex drive part.

As was stated their sex drives are virtually identical to genetic males because
they opt not to take hormones so that they can be more functional. I get
the sense that the long term results of that is that we will see many
transwomen de-transitioning becuause their testosterone production is
going un-checked and will masculinize them over time.

Finally, by no means do I feel that a woman has to have her heart set on
GRS to be a "true transsexual", but I do feel that alot of chicks just aren't
    fully committed.

^ Thanks for the insight. Actually it was a comment by you that prompted this thread, and I've always been intellectually curious about what makes TGirls "tick" -- what motivates them, what their goals are, and how they are different or the same as "genetic" men and women in some average sense.

Thanks, I'm glad that I played a small part in such an insightful thread.

As you might imagine I too have done a great deal of introspection and
examination of what makes transwomen tick.

Have done alot of formal academic study on it, have known alot of
transwomen, and have done a helluva lot of self examination.

I would say that there is no "one size fits all", but one does see some
    recurring themes.

    Lightbulb

Being a female, in my opinion is biological with a biological state of mind.
    EDIT: I'll reply later.
