Tranny Awards 2010 : It's Coming and we need your help!

Ok folks, it's time to start working on The Tranny Awards 2010. Date and location (LA) to be announced but we're going to make some changes this year.

1. The winners will be announced at the show!
2. We will still do it party style but we'll have the whole night themed and dedicated more, with a dedicated MC just for the show.
3. There will be more fan participation in some of the voting categories to be more of a readers choice.

I don't want to get carried away with categories but here is what we have for now:

Best Website Model
This can be any model who has appeared on any website in a new shoot in 2010.
Best Performer in a DVD
DVD must have been released in 2010. Can be for an amount of quality scenes over that time or for one outstanding scene.
Best Non-TS Performer
Male or female appearing in a scene or scenes over 2010
Best DVD Release
Any DVD released during 2010
Best DVD Director
Must have directed a full DVD in 2010
Best Solo Tgirl Website
Website must be updating in 2010 and have been online for at least 6 months of this year, and featuring pre-dominantly one model.
Best Non-Paysite
This could be a blog, a forum (like this one!) or a resource site. This has taken over from the "Best Blog".

I've removed the Best Amateur site. http://www.deliats.com won last year and deservedly so ... but in retrospect, what is amateur about it? A great looking model and a great looking design - better than many "pro" sites. I would like to do category for the models that aren't as involved in pornsites, etc but I'm not sure how to categorize it or what the factors should be?

Other suggestions:

Best Ethnic Performer - this has been requested before but I have an issue on a) who is ethnic? b)Natassia Dreams won best model in 2008 ... if we had a Best Ethnic then would she be allowed to compete as Best Model?

Best Alternative TS Model - this also has the above problems - who is alt. and who isn't but would certainly open up a category to many fetish type models (maybe best Fetish model?) thoughts?

Best TS-on-TS Scene - a fan voted scene?

Miss Congeniality - probably renamed but the model who has the most presence and fan base through forums like this, blogs, etc. Fan voted ?

We also have a Lifetime Achievement Award which I choose personally, a Shemale Yum Best Model and a BlackTgirls Best Model which are member voted. I'm trying to get Bob's Tgirls, SMC, Strokers to do the same also. I'm open to any other sites who might be interested in being part of this.

If you do want to be eligible for voting, you must have at least 50 votes and at least 6 months on this forum, or one of the other media sponsors, OR be known to the industry (ie; a model, photographer, website owner, affiliate, etc).

I'm looking forward to your feedback and participation. We will try and make the whole event better than last year, my whole idea was to grow this slowly and as our company personally puts over $15k into it, we'd be looking for other sponsors to help us grow. It also should be as inclusive as possible so ticket prices will be kept low also.

a)The minority racial groups b) Yes, unless you want a specific rule stating otherwise which isn't a bad idea either boss man.

Alternative = Punk rocker look, Artistic tats and piercings, hairstyle, fashion, and demeanor. Examples include Danni Daniels, Morgan Bailey, Domino, etc. Take a gander at the fantastic Suicide Girls and/or DeviantArt site for more examples

This will absolutely be Brasilian or Asian content, I've only seen 1 or 2 ts on ts scenes by American TS that is worth considering this year and they still pale in comparison to Brasilian content, no offense.

No it won't be the same model - as only the members of Yum (or BTG) can vote for them. The other voters are for other categories.

Been there, done that, many times while in music industry and have been cured from the 'Club Fever', you have a good time Surfer. Actually there was no 'real' offer made at all, and with the more competitive approach we photogs are forced into, being an asset and not a "burden to lug around" is more important, don't want to be replaced The company already has like 4-5 different photogs in Ca now so more than enough capable photogs will be at event providing intel as they do on the usual club nights. Sorry I'm so boring, but I have bigger priorities than a night out at a party. It really is more for the fans and models, I'm around the girls all the time no big deal.

Anyways, lets stay focused on the categories for the Awards, and how awesome a night this will be for those in attendance and those who wish they were

C'mon you are making me sound like an ass. That was a genuine offer. The only competitive approach (which nobody is forced into) was to offer the photographers who got the most Girl of the Month's in one year - on Yum or BTG to get a cash bonus? We've never replaced any long-term photographer unless they became a liability and of them I can name only two - Tom in SF and Steven in Atl. Neither got replaced because of their photography/video level but because of there personality issues.

Some of the stuff you say, really shouldn't be for general consumption as it really sounds like I/we are putting you in untenable situations, which as you know, just isn't accurate.

You're right, I don't know anything about you, but what I do know is that you don't care very much about the industry in which you work and you have low self-esteem! It seems as though you enjoy being sympathy-like character in the DMV area and not willing to branch out to meet new challenges and horizons in the porn world! You act like you care about things other than clearly being a part of something that most of us are envious, especially when you're on the inside! Kilakali, Sparky Snakeden, PK Vegas and Buddy Wood are getting all of the inherent spoils because of the evident t-girl environs and you are offered a chance to be a part of the festivities (these guys are having the time of their lives, sending back photos for all of us to drool over!) and you say to your boss send Joe Public!?! You're supposed to have a good time on boondoogles! I know your boss, on this occasion, expects you to have a good time! You are, quite the bird! Personally I think you should be taking pictures of kids on Santa's lap with thinking like that!

Sorry, not my intention to make you sound like an ass, I always speak very highly of you and of Grooby.

For the record though, you have sent me two emails in which statements along the lines of "...services will no longer be needed, if conditions x and y are not met". Albiet long ago and probably only took 10 minutes of your time, those emails are always on my mind being that this is my source of income and I do anxiously watch the 'inbox' after every shoot I submit to see if another will occur. I don't take it personal, I understand it's just business. I will also take better care to censor myself and issues, none of which really matter anyway, I just want to work, let everyone else drool over the 'perks'.
