INCORRECT! The artists arent necessarily garbage, its just the songs they choose to market. Ive come across too many amazing albums that were well beyond what was released for the public to buy dueto what "THE PUBLIC" demands. A mass of country is about guns, depression, drinkin and killing your lover...dont get me started on metal/alternative. I can give you an innumerable amount songs and albums that stay true to "real hip-hop", but understand the difference between that and trap music/battle rap/diss records etc etc....

On a side note I've seen so many adults try to degrade hiphop and its influence and turn around and let their kids watch family guy in the same breath...

i listen to great hip hop artists too, but they have such a small footprint in the industry that they don't matter. what the masses like and listen too is what is relevant! my standards of what's good is much higher than yours. because the songs they choose to market and their cds are garbage. and to compare family guy to some of these lyrics out there on some of these songs is like comparing cinemax to hardcore porn. because todays mainstream rap music has no positive affect. the only people it helps are the artist and record companies that profit from it.

your standards are higher than mine? How do you know? I never referenced any artist even though my favorite rapper is Talib Kweli with Common coming 2nd (the old common). Dont confuse me partying to a song wit a few women, or getting hype to, with music that I'd buy or listen to at home or on the regular. (Not unless you were saying "yours" in general) Music isnt meant to help anyone per say, but its moreso a form of artistic expression...thats why I'm not mad at what anyone chooses to put out...its their own product. Dont know if if you have kids, but imagine them running around telling family guy jokes vs "hiphop" lyrics...not so different.

don't have any kids, never have never will. a middle class college graduate who grew up in the pj's during the crack era, and i still have ties to the hood. today's mainstream hip hop is not the reason the black community is in the shape its in but it's part of the problem. so yes i call it garbage and speak out against it. talib kweli, mos def, black thought, lupe fiasco, common, dela soul, etc.are all great rappers. and their singles are just as hot as their cds, that's why i'm confused about your earlier post. when i watch tv or listen to radio or ask my nieces and nephews what they listen to it ain't none of the good rappers. i am no saint and i used to listen to tupac, biggie and all the rest but when i got to a certain stage in my life i could no longer defend or listen to music that degrades my people. i love rap music but i just call it like i see it.

i feel you bruh...and there is a lot of trash out right now, but I was just saying good hiphop still exist...may have a smaller following/less media coverage, but its still there. I fremember Pac saying imma give you what you wanna hear, and when you listening, imma give you what you need to hear. Genius idea and it worked.

FOTE=werwt22;50040]bruh im not wrong...just because someone is willing to give me a little more leewwhitn regards to my financial circumstance, doesnt change the fact that they still judge me based on my skintone. just saying its a similar circumstance in regards of this community...Did you really think they cared whether you said TS or CD?[/QUOTE]

They will care the same way house niggas got special treatment and a certain degree of trust from the white man.true your still a nigga at the end of the day but your a negro that can get away with allot more lol.
For example a pretty ts receives way less public ridicule than a non passable trans woman or cd. At my school there a person who dresses like a woman but doesnt look anything like one.Even though my gender history is kown at my school the way they treat me and accept my womanhood is way different than that persons...waayyy different.

So its ok for you to make sweeping generalizations but it's unacceptable of me to state factual information?

I do not know what you do now. That is correct. I know what you did back in the day.

I am an educated, self made, down to earth black man. We have hung out together before. In the public. And had some really cool fun moments. No hiding no being dl no pretending.

I get tired of you attacking black men as if all black men are dl or ashamed to be with a transsexual woman.

What is factual information? That I escort? That probably the majority of my clients probably are down low? So because of those experiences I don't get to have an opinion? That I can't disagree with how they live their lives? That I should accept DL men into my personal and private life because I do so for business? Here's the reality...no matter what ones career, job,or hustle your going to have to work with people who you don't like or who's lifestyle you may not agree.People do this because they understand that you can do business with people you would never socialize with under any other circumstance.

What I do is call out and challenge men on here when they advocate for their DL lifestyle.
Of course I know that there are non DL brothas out there because that's the only kind of men I date.I personally don't entertain DL men in my social life.
Funny that you can accuse me of sweeping generalizations when the comment you responded to was me giving kiddos to one of the members on here for not letting fear run his life and interactions with ts woman
