INCORRECT! The artists arent necessarily garbage, its just the songs they choose to market. Ive come across too many amazing albums that were well beyond what was released for the public to buy dueto what "THE PUBLIC" demands. A mass of country is about guns, depression, drinkin and killing your lover...dont get me started on metal/alternative. I can give you an innumerable amount songs and albums that stay true to "real hip-hop", but understand the difference between that and trap music/battle rap/diss records etc etc....

On a side note I've seen so many adults try to degrade hiphop and its influence and turn around and let their kids watch family guy in the same breath...

While I wouldn't agree with allowing a child to watch Family Guy as the material is very mature, there is a vast difference between Hip Hop music which wants the viewer to see the video/music as reality, despite the cars, planes, jewelry, cars, women being rented for the use of the video. Family Guy is a fictitious cartoon that strays far from the realm of reality, there is never any confusion that Family Guy is not real.

That's not how he "lost millions". He lost his money due to piss poor business decisions and over all not having the business ethics to maintain what he had. Less floss and more strong investments in business that will flourish and he might still have that money. Musically, as you notice, there is no mention of artist or exec that said they will no longer work with him because of a rumor that he hooks up with trans women. Because they would call his lies out, it's easier for him to blame his failure as a rapper on a trans woman than on the fact that he just isn't that good.

For instance, his first two albums (released in 2003 and 2004) were certified platinum, and his career peaked then. By his third album released in 2006 the critics were giving him negative reviews and he just barely went gold. By his fourth album (released in 2007) he was only able to sell 30,000 copies (really Chingy, there are rappers selling more than that out the trunk of their cars) and didn't even bother to release it in the UK which might have helped his sales some. You would be hard pressed to find a record label willing to invest in a failing artist in this current climate of the music industry with internet pirating run rampant and the industry trying to figure out how to be relevant (in sales). Now, the Sidney Starr rumors didn't start until 2009 (well after his decline) so while there certainly was some controversy surrounding him, there is a saying in the entertainment business, all publicity is good publicity. He just didn't capitalize on it in the best way he could have. At the end of the day, like so many people, they look for any other excuse other than themselves to explain away their own failings.
