ladies, there is no disclaimer to nulify prostitution

ok, so i have noticed a few craigslist.org ads popping up on this site recently. i want to just make a general comment on a fad ive seen girls doing recently. i am not sure where they are getting their legal advice from but please be clear, there is NO Disclaimer that u can put on the bottom of your ad that will absolve u from being charged with prostitution. the fact is that if u advertise your self in a manner or pattern consistent with prostitution, and an official alleges such has or was in the process of occuring they only need to be within reasonable doubt, not beyond reasonable doubt for a charge and/or conviction. there are clever ways to skate around the issue but this is not one of them...

While we are discussing CL stuff. I really don't understand the ads that say the crap about- Money being for time spent only, and please don't call to discuss sex or anything else. WTF, it's like ok they say read the ad before calling the ad tells you not to calling talking about it. Then WTF am i calling you for then, and if i can't ask you about what it is that we will be doing I'm guessing you could take my money and act like you didn't know why i gave you the dough.

We all know I have been around a good minute its still funny to me too that girls think a cop has to tell you he's a cop on the fone or at the door too if you ask. Lying is permitted to make the bust.

The girls will have to step-up their game; a disclaimer is one level up from just escorting and asking if someone’s a cop from the front seat of a car. Read the disclaimers. This is the survival mechanisms at work!
We should ask if disclaimers are good or bad; we should be debating why this is happening? Because if you think they are absurd, or beneficial, we can get to the root of these conditions through a lively pro and con debate. This site has a disclaimer. Has anybody read it?
Let’s talk about disclaimers and t-girls!

    Thats sad & ****'d up.
Up here prostitution is not illegal. The cops cannot arrest anyone for it.
It is only illegal to solict in public places. Newspaper, telephone & the internet are deemed private, and therefore hands off..
I just think it so petty for the police to conduct big productions to nab a few sex trade workers & custies...

It's all bullshit, the few girls that really know how to operate their escort business legally know the disclaimer aint shit. They'll let the other less informed girls think it gives them a 'Get Out Of Jail' card, so the 'less informed' escorts can be caught slipping and thus, less competition for them to worry about. Many of these girls are just waking up to the internet within the last year or two and still work as if they are on the stroll.

To be safe though, it doesn't hurt that they put up there that money is for time spent and not sex. It comes down to what actually happens when they meet up though, which I suspect is when the girls are actually caught 'slipping'.

I do agree that in general it's a waste of time and money to attack the sex trade workers to this extent. However; with the gross amount of human trafficking going on I can't say it's not warranted. Here in Hampton Roads Va, we have one of the Major US Shipping ports. We have lots of Eastern European strippers in our 'Go-Go' bars as well as lots of Asians and Hispanics. From my days driving cabs, I had the explicit feelings that some shady practices were going down with a lot of these girls, sadly. Some would tell me about how the came here, working on a cruise line like Disney and then just never returned to ship. They have a guy in the Va Beach area who puts them up and they work for him, so I heard. This was with the Russians specifically though. I imagine there's similar stories going about.

I hear you Remy about the human trafficing bit, but to me it seem like arresting women in the sex trade is counter-productive.
On one extreme it like arresting somebody who is selling their body due to lack of opportunities/drug addiction/explotation jamming them up with fines, legal fee and possibly jail is just making their bad situation worse. It kicking them while their down.
On the other hand, if somebodies selling, and somebodies buying and nobodies getting hurt, who the **** cares?
Get some return on your tax dollars by having the police chase the real bad guys..
As for disclaimers and T-girls, how about: "____ size advertised is gross exageration that does not reflect actual size of said _____, or imply or guarantee actual _____ will be able to perform in manner actually advertized"
