What I find funny about SoA is when the actor playing Jax is doing an angry voice, his accent slips. I didn't know he was English until I looked it up after noticing how funny he sounded when he got mad during a certain scene.
I haven't watched anything on HBO since the last season of The Life and Times of Tim. I hope there's a 3rd season, I was actually enjoying the way his character was starting to actually man up during certain moments.
With regards to source material, I was not a fan of the Sookie Stackhouse books, but rather the Anita Blake Vampire Huntress series of books by Laurell K Hamilton. The general idea of the paranormal creatures being common place is the same, main character is a Necromancer instead of a Fairy and Anita is more "kick ass" to Sookie "talking about kicking ass". I may eventually grab the Stackhouse books just to see where it all began, but I'm a die-hard fan of the show regardless.Quote:
