6K+ VR In Near Future?

I recently got a Quest 2 and have been blown away by some of the 6K and higher res videos I've watched on it. It's frustrating though because trans content is what turns me on the most and you guys only have 4K right now. I know some other sites have done higher res trans porn, but they have nowhere near the talent and names Grooby has. Any chance, especially with the rather affordable Quest 2 that was just released, that you guys could shoot in 6K, this would be phenomenal for myself and other trans/VR fans.

The vast majority of porn shouldn't even be seen at 4k. It's above what the human eyeball would generally in reality (then presented on a screen).
Great for some sci-fic movies, games, etc. Not great for porn. I don't see any reason why the VR would be shown at more than 4k at this time, especially given the increased file sizes.

4k and such mean sort of different things when it comes to VR. For instance, when you look through a VR headset at a 6K or even better up to 8K VR video, it looks vastly more clear than a 4K video. It's AMAZING with VR porn, having higher resolutions. Also, hard drive space is essentially dirt cheap these days, so file size (at least on the member's ends) shouldn't be an issue. You guys have THE best trans VR content hands-down, would LOVE to see higher res VR files pretty please. Also, with the affordability of the recent Oculus Quest 2 capable of playing very high res files, VR porn will likely take off even more.

We're looking into different options right now. I think within the next few shoots it may be closer to what you're looking for.

As a Reverb G2 owner I can honestly say I was excited to read your message...4K for VR porn is insufficient now and the new high res headsets really make it look outdated. The majority of VR porn studios have moved on to 6K-8K resolution with only a few still producing 5K or lower. I would say that 6K is the happy medium between high quality visuals and decent file sizes.

we are testing full 5K which we hope to be able to offer very shortly, above 6K we do run into challenges with the codecs being used but it is being worked on.
We have already improved our shoots from the earlier HD to 4K, and we are working on post-production to improve the finished product you see on the site even further.

Thats great news! I'm excited and looking forward to seeing new scenes with the higher res. Just out of curiosity what camera has grooby upgraded to, ZCam K1 or K2? Other? What was the old camera rig? Thanks!
